I am originally from Sweden but have now spent 17 years in Ireland. I came here with my family of 4 children to get a taste of the Irish way but the beauty of this island and the kindness of the community, fascinated me and worked its magic, compelling me to make this place my home. I have always created and I have always kept my eyes and my heart open for the odd and for the beauty of life. It is perhaps my background as a vet that brought me so close to nature. I am fortunate to have developed a great understanding for nature and a great connection with the animals. And it is that deep love that brings out my creations. To me, it is essential to stay very grounded in history and in folklore, but it is equally essential to live out that strong passion for forms and colours, for creatures and creations. I have a need to always keep my hands busy and I work with many different materials such as clay, willow, wool, textiles and paints… As an artist, I wish to share my insatiable curiosity and my great pleasure in spreading a bit of joy and fascination!
