Being a leader is vital when operating in a work setting. Over the years, I have been blessed to have been put in many leadership positions. I have also grown in confidence to step into leadership roles more frequently. One of the settings where I most often exhibit leadership qualities is on the Crowley's Ridge College campus. I usually help with events such as chapel, lectureships, campus ministry, and tours. These events place me in a leadership position to direct others and lead by example. One of the most overlooked aspects of leadership is leading by example. Individuals observe far more than most people realize. Leading by example requires Christlike character, determination, and discipline. Being placed in these settings helped me to understand the impact of actions, speech, and moral values. As a Christ follower, I am called to lead. Often, the best leaders provide themselves as an example. I am to be no different in Project Management. Leading by example can be done through attitude, speech, and body language. As a project manager, my body language must exhibit confidence. My speech must portray Christlike integrity. My attitude must be proven as determined and dedicated. With my previous job experience at Middle Tennessee Christian School and my experience on the CRC campus, leadership has been a common practice for me. Leadership from myself is that of one who is organized, joyous, firm, and of moral integrity.
