$60,000 grant to  be a part of a Data-to-Action Campaign College Community of Practice on Parenting Students (awarded in Oct 2023)

Cal Poly’s Data-to-Action Campaign for Parenting Students work led by the Urban Institute will enhance our capacity to identify and provide targeted support for parenting students, particularly single mothers. This funded work will include a cross-departmental team that includes: Institutional Research, Dean of Students, and Title IX.

$2500 grant to support teacher recruitment (awarded in March 2023)

Gift funds to do advocacy and media work on student parent joy in the California State University system.

$20,000 grant to study ROI on student parents in the CSU system (awarded in June 2022)

Recipient of a Spencer Small Grant ($50,000)  with Dr. Amanda Frye (PI) from Liberal Studies (Feb 2022)

Our research grant entitled,  "Fostering a mutual support network among aspiring and early career Teachers of Color" have been funded by the Spencer Foundation Small Grants program in Feb 2022 with Dr. Amanda Frye (PI) and Dr. Tina Cheuk (co-PI) for $50K for 3 years.

U.S. Department of Education, Teacher Quality Partnership (TQP), Teacher residency (2020-2025), $2.1M

Teaching for Inclusivity and Equity Residency (TIER) project will create a residency program in the School of Education that will recruit and train 44 new teachers in the areas of special education and bilingual education and place these teachers in local school districts. Press release LINK
