Budget

Each ESL site will need to work with church leadership to determine the best budget for their context. To help you in these conversations, we've provided some possible budget ideas and costs based on an existing ESL sites. 

The estimated budget is for an anticipated student class size of 15. 

Total estimated budget for one year (36 weeks) of class: $850 


Student Textbooks:  $300 

The average textbook ranges from $10-35 per book when purchased new. We do encourage sites to ask students to contribute a $10 book fee when registering for the class as it a helps recoup textbook costs and provides a sense of ownership in the course. 

Teacher Guides & Other Resources: $90 

Having the teacher guide versions of texts can help in minimizing lesson-prep time and offer additional teacher support for new teachers. 

Classroom Supplies: $100

Notebooks, pens, whiteboard markers, photocopies if needed, etc... 

Hospitality Supplies: $360 

An average of $10 per week on coffee, tea, snacks, paper products. This is an opportunity for other church members to contribute and donate baked goods or coffee each week.
