Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
1. Purpose
The Support Division ensures the operational sustainability and well-being of all Unified Star Federation personnel and assets. This SOP outlines the policies, responsibilities, and protocols for providing logistical, medical, and technical support to all branches of the Federation.
2. Scope
This SOP applies to all personnel assigned to the Support Division, including logistics teams, medical staff, engineering crews, and auxiliary support units operating across Federation territories.
3. Structure and Chain of Command
1. Chief Support Officer (CSO):
- Oversees all operations within the Support Division.
- Coordinates with the Operations and Tactical Divisions to prioritize resource distribution and support efforts.
2. Sector Support Commanders (SSCs):
- Manage support operations within designated sectors.
- Supervise the deployment of resources and ensure operational efficiency.
3. Unit Leaders:
- Lead specialized teams, including medical units, engineering crews, and supply chains.
- Ensure compliance with division protocols and manage daily operations.
4. Specialists and Technicians:
- Provide expertise in specific areas such as ship maintenance, medical treatment, and supply logistics.
- Execute on-ground tasks as directed by unit leaders.
4. Responsibilities
4.1 Logistical Support
- Ensure timely delivery of supplies, including ammunition, food, fuel, and equipment, to all Federation branches.
- Maintain an updated inventory of resources and coordinate with the Operations Division for distribution.
- Optimize supply routes to minimize delays and losses.
4.2 Technical Support
- Perform maintenance and repairs on Federation ships, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular diagnostics on critical systems, including quantum drives, shields, and weapons.
- Develop and implement technical upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
4.3 Medical Support
- Provide on-site and remote medical assistance to personnel in need.
- Establish and maintain field hospitals and medical bays aboard Federation ships and stations.
- Conduct routine health checks and manage medical supplies.
4.4 Emergency Response
- Deploy support teams rapidly during crises, including natural disasters, combat emergencies, and system failures.
- Coordinate with the Operations Division for resource allocation and evacuation procedures.
- Prioritize personnel safety and mission-critical asset recovery.
5. Protocols
5.1 Resource Management
- Maintain a minimum reserve of essential supplies in all major stations and ships.
- Conduct weekly inventory audits to ensure resource availability.
- Submit resource consumption and requisition reports to Sector Support Commanders.
5.2 Maintenance Schedules
- Adhere to a strict schedule for preventive maintenance of ships, vehicles, and infrastructure.
- Address maintenance requests within 48 hours unless marked as critical.
- Record all maintenance activities in the Federation’s central database.
5.3 Medical Response
- All medical teams must remain on standby during high-risk operations.
- Respond to medical emergencies within five minutes aboard ships or stations.
- Ensure the availability of evacuation protocols for critically injured personnel.
5.4 Emergency Deployment
- Activate the Rapid Support Protocol (RSP) within 30 minutes of an emergency alert.
- Deploy multi-disciplinary teams, including logistics, engineering, and medical units, to affected areas.
- Provide a detailed incident report to the Chief Support Officer within 24 hours of mission completion.
6. Reporting Requirements
- Incident Reports: Submit within 24 hours of any support-related incident or emergency response.
- Resource Logs: Update weekly and report to Sector Support Commanders.
- Maintenance Reports: File monthly updates on all repairs, diagnostics, and upgrades performed.
- Medical Summaries: Provide quarterly health and readiness assessments for all Federation personnel.
7. Compliance and Auditing
- Regular audits will be conducted to ensure adherence to resource management, maintenance, and medical protocols.
- Any deviation from this SOP must be documented and approved by the Chief Support Officer.
- Personnel failing to comply with protocols will face corrective actions as outlined in the Federation Code of Conduct.
8. Safety and Security
- Enforce safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and equipment.
- Ensure all personnel wear appropriate protective gear during high-risk tasks.
- Maintain secure storage for sensitive resources such as medical supplies and classified equipment.
9. Review and Updates
This SOP is subject to annual review by the Chief Support Officer. Updates will be communicated to all personnel via official channels.
