Hello guys!
We've taken the time to split up the AP Guide into several parts for the ease of new-comers and those who have been around the block. This next part is dedicated to Physical arts and is our hardest area when it comes to judging. For this reason, ALL PHYSICAL ARTS WILL BE GIVEN OFFICIAL AP COUNTS AT TIME OF AP VALIDATIONS! Examples of Physical Arts
Physical Arts can range from ; Clay/Wood/Etc Sculptures, Painted Figures, Quilted Blankets / Pillows, Stuffed Animals, 3D Printed Figures and much more.
Due to this range of arts being so dramatic it is very difficult to arrange proper Art Points for them. But, we have sat down and taken the time to figure out some base line ideas of Counting for players to have an idea of what to expect when the AP Admins count your physical pieces.
Keep in mind, multiple photos of the same physical art piece will not count for 'extra' points, but will instead let our admin know the detail of your work in its entirety. We suggest even keeping a google drive folder with all the photos of a singular physical project, to help show your steps/progress, and help admins grade your effort appropriately!
Base AP
Depiction of Subject + Anatomy and Detail Level - 0.5 - 4.5 AP
Using these ideas from the Base count for Visual AP, we will be using these structures to grade between 0.5 and 4.5 AP:
Head Shot / Half Body / Full Body
Stylized / Simplified / Standard / Advanced Anatomy Level
'Un-finished' looking / Plainly finished / Detailed - Extra attention to specifics of subject
Coloring / Shading Detail - + 0.5 - 4 AP
Using the idea from the visual arts counting for Coloring and Shading detail. Pieces will be considered for their level of effort in conjunction to the below.
Flatcolour / Toned Colour (Grey Scale)
Simple, Standard, Detailed or Complex Shading
Difficulty of Project - + 0.5 - 15 AP
Using work in progress photos and a list of materials you used in conjunction with the final presentation of the project, we can grade based on the perceived difficulty of the project.
To assist us ;
Take many WIP photos of your project. (once an hour or once a day is a great way!)
List all of the materials you have used!
Give us a written overview of your project, from start to finish to help us grade it properly!
Additional AP
Shedu Tack / Handler Attire - + 0.5 - 5 AP
Using the idea from the visual arts counting for Shedu and Handler Tack/Attire, we are extending a further idea to those who may add these details into their pieces.
Shedu Mascot Feature - + 0.5 - 5 AP
This bonus is for Physical Art Pieces that specifically include one of the Official Shedu Mascots clearly within an image with at least 50% of their body showing. Now as this is physical arts, this must be done cleverly, and we cannot wait to see how you do!
Featured Art Bonus - + 10 AP
For those who can validly link to a Featured Art Stamp's AP applied to the Shedu's Log.
Only valid once per piece, per uploaded Shedu within the piece.
If no Shedus are within the piece, valid per valid handler, who has a valid Reference Sheet, for Unbound AP.
ADDITIONALLY This AP should be validated through the BANK and applied to the Shedu cat's LOG!
