God-modding: This is any situation where your character states knowledge they have no way of knowing ICly, forcing someone to take damage without direct consent or agreement previously, or refusing to take damage in a DMed event or previously agreed upon situation. Another example of this would be something happening to your character and playing as if nothing happened. Every action has an effect and to avoid the effect is another form of God-modding.
Time: In Character time is day for day. Often people will try to speed things up. No time skipping is allowed. While injuries can have expedited healing through certain methodologies available via the Force or technology, ages & times should remain within the timeline for continuity purposes in our living galaxy.
Meta-gaming: Using OOC knowledge in an IC situation. If something isn’t told to your character ICly, they do not know it even if you the player does. The exception to this is if you’re given permission by someone to know it ICly as well.
IC/OOC Bleed: Do your best to keep IC and OOC separate. If disciplinary action is taken against your character ICly, it does not mean you are in trouble OOC and vice versa. This goes for IC character conflicts as well. Conduct yourself respectfully IC even if you do not get along with someone OOCly – this is how the community will remain safe and inviting for all.
ERP: is a type of RP done between two consenting individuals who wish for their characters to roleplay adult scenarios.
This type of RP is not appropriate nor acceptable in public spaces as we are a PG-13 guild. Minors exist in these spaces - Do not assume everyone is an adult.
We do not police private RPed scenarios but if anyone is caught playing out what would be considered an ERP scene or soliciting that type of RP from members inside guild strongholds, there will be OOC consequences.
To be clear, this type of RP requires consent of all participants before crossing those boundaries. This means explicit mutual understanding of what is going on must be established before participation. Violating this consent will incur disciplinary action up to and including being banned from TSE.
Heavily Triggering Scenarios: RP scenarios involving abortion, sexual assault, physical abuse, Child harm/slavery/abuse or cannibalism. These scenarios are very triggering for individuals in sensitive situations. We do not police personal RP but none of these topics should be played out in the public eye such as RP-Comms or Dialogue nor should they be mentioned OOC in VC or General chat. When in doubt, when choosing to RP sensitive topics in public please speak to a Guild Officer beforehand for approval.
