Gear Creation
Gear Crafting can be one hell of a headache, but boy, is the end product worth it. To create your very own Custom Gear, follow these steps:
First, decide on what you wish to create (Weapon, Gadget, Cybernetic, Armor, etc).
Make a copy of and complete the Gear Crafting Form and submit it to #crafting-requests, which can be found below.
Await feedback and approval for the gear.
Publish an RP-Task, RP-gen or have a guild officer witness the creation of your gear.
There is a single week cooldown between the creation of new gear, with authorization/approval times being subject to availability and complexity of requested gear.
There are no current limitations on the quantity of artifacts you can create. But the finesse to carry all of these around and wield them effectively scales in the following manner:
Esk Class can hold 1 customized gear at a time.
Cresh Class can hold up to 2 customized gear at a time.
Besh Class can hold up to 3 customized gear at a time.
Aurek Class can hold up to 4 customized gear at a time.
Senth Class can hold up to 5 customized gear at a time.
You may swap out active gear between combat events if you want to.

Clarifications and Limitations
If a character ranks up, they may upgrade to the next armor/clothing tier without the need of an RP-task or hosted supervision. For example, a Cresh Class who upgraeds to Aurek Class may automatically select the full armor kit option.
Enhancement and custom builds of unique weapons and gadgets are by no means a way to bypass organic progression of the NFU skill list (i.e: Creation of a .50 bmg equivalent sniper rifle would still require slugthrower + marksmanship cert.)
Limiting amount of combined tech to 3 different technological pieces per individual piece. (Exception for Electro Hardened Systems, Body Armor skills)
For creations that include or revolve around a melee aspect, the maker must have learned their corresponding tier of Melee Form.
For example:
A Flamethrower modified to spew a highly corrosive chemicals instead of fuel counts as having 2 combined technologies added (Flamethrower, Biochem Proficiency).
An Electro Hardened Vibro Sword that can discharge electricity counts as having 2 combined technologies added (Advanced Electro Weaponry, Vibro Weaponry) as well as Proficiency in Blades.
An Electro Hardened Disruptor Rifle with a Grenade Launcher underbarrel and an Energized Monomolecular Corded bayonet counts as having all 3 combined technologies added (Disruptor Weapons Authorization, High Explosive Certification, Energized Monomolecular Cord) as well as Expertise in Blades.
For special designs of Cybernetics, Droids and Vehicles, the following scaling is followed based off their knowledge on relevant craft skill:
Proficiency: Allows for integration of up to Esk Class technology and weapons.
Expertise: Allows for integration of up to Cresh class technology and weapons.
Mastery: Allows for integration of up to Aurek class technology and weapons.
Some special gear and gadgets having already been approved by our GO body, have been compiled into a catalogue and are available for anyone to get a duplicate of, provided that they meet their pre-requirements, the process and catalogue can be found here
