What is Sith Wargear?
In ancient times, Sith Warblades, also known as Sith Swords, were constructed through various metallurgical and arcane means, transmuting base metals into an alchemical alloy possessing an unusual affinity for Dark Side energies.
Sith Warblades required great strength of body as well as in the Force to successfully wield the weapon and make it as dangerous as a lightsaber.
Their miraculous alchemical alterations allowed these old Sith swords to block incoming lightsaber attacks, as well as deflect and redirect blaster bolts in much the same way a lightsaber did.
A Sith Warblade served as a focus for the dark energies of its wielder, amplifying their power and refining their control until they becme a walking Nexus of Dark Side power.
Sith Warblades were traditionally blades within the range of 1.4 meters in length, however, modern sith have deviated from the status quo in the pursuit of efficiency or outright personal preference (see Creating Sith Wargear clarifications at the end).
Description and Qualities
Wargear can weigh anywhere from 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) to 9.1 kilograms (20 pounds). This is due to the rare metallic compounds used in its construction, making them far heavier than their sizes would suggest.
Weapons created by Sith Alchemy and Sorcery are stronger and sharper due to the manipulation of the weapon's molecular structure, being on par with technological marvels such as Energized Monomolecular Cords and Repulsor Striker tech.
Due to the alchemical manipulations, they have a reversed magnetic polarity, turning it into a high temperature superconductor.
(This allows the weapon to deflect blaster bolts and other particle weapons as if magnetically sealed.)
The polished surface of the weapon reflects laser beams and other coherent light weapons like a mirror.
Sith Wargear's magnetic properties, combined with their attraction to the Dark Side of the Force, cause them to react to discharges of Force lightning and other force powers.
(The weapon attracts and absorbs the energy, storing it like an electric capacitor until the blade makes contact with a substantial physical object, whereupon the amplified electrical energy was discharged with extremely devastating effect.)
Creating Sith Wargear
For creation of Sith Wargear, a Sith Lord requires:
Knowledge and training in Sith Alchemy II as well as Sith Sorcery II.
(Or assistance from someone with knowledge and training)
Expertise in the desired weapon´s Melee Form (See our Martial Arts/Melee Form document), their complexity and measurements matching the corresponding tier´s rules.
In order to provide lightsaber resistant and force-reactive properties to their wargear, the maker must acquire an ingot of special Sarrassian Iron as part of their creation. (The weapon will not have said properties if the maker neglects to utilize it, if not aware on how to acquire bars of Sarassian Iron, please consult with guild officership for methods of acquisition)
* Wargear created without Sarassian Iron CAN be upgraded into force-reactive if the maker acquires the necessary ingot of Sarrassian Iron.
The remaining “filler” components can be sourced by alloying it with more common, non-restricted metals or combined with rarer metals available to the creator if acquired by other means.
Each piece of active wargear counts towards Artifact/Gear slots, the method through which one can request OOC authorization to create wargear is by utilizing our Artifact/Gear crafting channels and forms.
Special Clarifications
Armor pieces created with said effects can be obtained through our Artifact creation process, with each individual armor slot requiring One Ingot.
Creation of “Artifact/Wargear” such as the lightsaber rifle or force imbued slugthrowers are not allowed due to OOC Guild Officer consensus that both Sith and Jedi Order schisms impeding such a concept in of our timeline, as well as canon/legends technology capable of achieving such feats being only referenced in times closer to 500 BBY at their earliest.
