The Gods and deities that reside over the cats of The 7 Trumpets, and what current information the cats have on them in-RP.
The Deities are four entities that haunt the decks. There's the White Club, the Pale Spade, the Red Diamond, and the Black Heart. Each have their own ways of interacting with the decks, some being more based in trickery than others, and some passively choosing cats to bless with their individual curses.
THE WHITE CLUB ~played by Cee
The White club is a hypocritical deity, full of ignorance and judgement, turning a blind eye to those who truly need it, and instead delivering false justice. It's best described as a judgmental parent, saying, "I'm not mad, just disappointed." A creature of grace, though so expectant of others to follow after its perfection to a T. It acts like it cares about those who follow it, but it really doesn't care. After all, why would it care about something so imperfect. After all, they could all be so much better if they just put more effort into things... What lazy creatures, these cats are.
The Red Diamond is silent and gruff, only its presence is needed to convey its feelings towards those who see it, or those it visits. Rather than ever speaking to cats, the Red Diamond glares at them, using its eyes to convey any message it needs to. Its steps are like thunder, shaking the ground it walks on, and creating monstrous holes wherever it goes... Honestly, its hard to tell how it feels about the cats of the Plain, considering it never actually speaks its mind. Instead, it leads you to guess how it feels. Prepare to feel very distraught with its silence if you meet it.
THE BLACK HEART ~played by Scott
The Black Heart is teasing and understanding, somehow acting as a strange and uncertain guide for cats at times--though causing chaos all the same. The Black Heart could be described as the 'nicest' of all the Deities, its nature somehow helping the cats around it more than it might hinder it. It speaks the most out of all the other Deities as well, making its opinions and feelings very well known to anyone who meets, or sees it. If there's ever to be a Deity lingering behind a cat and whispering to it, causing a haunting feeling of paranoia, it's most likely this one.
The Pale Spade is calm and orderly, not trying to force its way into the hearts of cats, as it knows Death claims all in the end. This Deity is somehow both the most active and least active of them all, coming around whenever death happens, but never coming around other than that--or at least, if it does, it's very rare, and for some well thought out and meticulous reasoning. After all, death is not random. It's a fated event, and the Pale Deity will do a lot to make sure everything happens just as it should... Though it also favors and cares for life as well, considering death can't happen without life.
The Gods of Calamity are a major group of Gods, focused on Natural Disasters, and are said to be the cause of all natural chaos within the world. However, despite the chaos and disorder they may bring, there will always be some light to their actions. Through destruction, things can be rebuilt, and sometimes, these disasters may be for the best. There is no life without death, and there is no order without chaos.
"And the kindred is gathering by coffin and chaplain on his behalf, And [a] discreet tender man clears his throat, waves his hand following a laugh, And the band plays on."
Something dark, something that lives within the minds of every being known to existence.
"Do you want this? You can have this! If it's something you need,
Then stretch out your skeletons and grab it, and grab it."
A sleeping God, currently generally unknown by the Decks. All that can be said is that its awakening could be an end to all things.
"We're gonna keep a lighter to it even while it burns for you,
And I'm going to heaven with or without you."
A God that runs through the territories of the Deities, fast and blazing all the way through. It tends to help the cats it sees, and can stop them from death in the cold months. Although its presence can bring upon a lack of prey and herbs, it can be a blessing to the cats that see it.
"Come get it, help yourself, Come see it for yourself
We're raising glasses high, dirty as all hell,
In sickness and health, in sickness and health."
A constantly dripping God that seems to leave a trail of plague in its wake--though it mainly travels by water, and it's known that the water is unsafe anyway. It doesn't seem to be necessarily negative, as it doesn't come onto land whenever possible.
"The laying of hands, and the speakings in tongues,
All invading properties, insipid entering entities:
I command you to leave this body."
A strange, odd God that doesn't provide any help for the Decks, and instead pulls cats into spiraling hallucinations and leaves them without any certainty if what they saw was truly real or not.
"Oh my dear, just meet me here,
When the comet hits our atmosphere,
Like burning circus tents signal our ascent,
We visualize what we hope appears."
A brazen and aggressive God, something that should be watched out for. Appearing at random and creating disasters where it goes, it doesn't seem to be reasoned with or able to be talked to--this God is negative.
"Over funeral screams and the wedding dreams,
What should we do with the bodies?
The sweet release, the sound of sighing--All of the beautiful bodies."
A fun and understanding God, showing its face to cats often and causing mischief here and there. It doesn't seem to be a negative force, instead aiding cats who see it.
"Don't hold your breath, just breathe in deep--
I want to be able to say in a disassociated way,
"What the fuck, what the fuck," and "Whatever.""
This God is quiet and wandering, not caring where it walks or who it tramples in its wake. It lays for a long period of time in select spots, and it responds to cats that find it while it visits. It appears to be a neutral force, only positive while it's still.
'"Cause God only knows how cold it's getting,
And by His design, He must know we're starving,
Of course it won't help, you won't help for helping--
Of course it won't work, we won't work for working."
A negatively impactful God, bringing a frost and bad luck upon those who come across it. If an ice-y trail is found on the ground while outside of camps, everyone will tell you to stay far, far away.
"You were a good mare for the state,
But you're no longer needed here, Go back to your coup,
I will chop off my head as an act of contrition for you."
A fast and strange God, one that doesn't seem to care about those it dances over. It swirls and glides through the air, casting down good or bad luck, depending on whether an eel or a cow is seen in the sky while it flies.
"But I am horrified that you will say it's meaningless,
A cosmic joke on me-- Someday this will all be yours,
We're gonna get what we came for."
A God who doesn't appear often, but is typically silent during its appearances--only leading cats towards where it intends to show them something, then vanishing before any questions can be asked. It doesn't appear to be a negative or positive force, instead a natural thing of all life.
The Gods of Serenity are a major group of Gods, focused on Inner Strengths, and are said to be the pieces that make up one's self, no matter who they may be. However, despite the life and order they may bring, there will always be some dark to their actions. Through creation, things can be damaged, and sometimes, these hardships may be for the best. There is no death without life, and there is no chaos without order.
"Caught in the twist of delight, Between this world and the light, The bones snap into place, you saw the face, you saw the face."
A flowering God, multitudes of eyes layering its petals as a red coat flows down to the ground. It speaks in colors, and has been seen by few cats.
"I did what anybody would that day,
No speechless gibbon in the road, not me.
I get smaller every day,
My god made you all from clay, (And he said:)"

In a spiral in which we will lay,
Chaos, slow and warm,
All I need is red blood, Red blood, and I'll get it."
