General lore/information regarding the way the Clans of this RP work.
For around 35 years, the four Decks of the Plain of Revelation have survived, starting from a few lone cats being drawn to the Plain by a mysterious force, to an entire colony of cats living out full lives while being burdened by the harshness of Southern Illinois--and of course, the Gods of the world and the Deities that exist on the Plain. This section holds general information about the Decks and how they work, rather than details about individual Decks. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!
RANKS OF THE DECKS / DIFFERENCES FROM TYPICAL WARRIORS RANKS
The Ranks present in the Decks and what they do are as follows:
Instead of leaders, the Decks have Faces. These cats are the literal faces of their Deck, the ones that take control and lead the deck through thick and thin. These Faces have 4 lives, and go through a trial from the Deities to earn their place as the Face of the Deck. These lives are from each individual Deity, and as they lose each life, their wound leaks with the playing card that contains the suit of the Deity that the lost life was from. Their lives also come with ability that only that Face has, though all Faces may have similar abilities, based on which Deck they're in. These abilities are not known except to the Faces who own them, and these abilities have, for the most part, remained secret even in history. You can tell a Face from normal cats of a Deck because of the marking on their head, as well as their darkened sclera. It's not exactly known WHY these markings appear, but most believe it's just due to the Deity-infused power they'd been given when they became the Face of the Deck. Along with a secret ability, the Faces of the Decks can share their elemental power with their Joker, letting the Joker use that element just as strongly as the Face can. If the two share an element, then the power is heightened by a huge amount, leading to an incredibly intense combination of power.
Instead of deputies, the Decks have Jokers. These cats are the rank before Face, working alongside the Faces of the Decks to make sure everything is going smoothly within the Deck. They'll be the ones to organize patrols, lead in battles, make sure mentors and pips are getting along well, as well as take over any Face duties if the Face is out of commission for whatever reason. There may at times be two Jokers in a Deck at once, simply due to the fact that it's easier to have two helping hands rather than just one. Once a Face dies, the Joker will take the Face's spot, and go do the Trial of the Face, hopefully coming back to the Deck as the new Face of it. If they don't, and there's no other Joker in the Deck, there will be a vote amongst the entire Deck (besides the kittens and pips) of who should be the next Joker
Instead of medicine cats, the Decks have Mirrors. These cats are the ones to reflect the will of the Watchers, Gods, and Deities of the Plain, using different kinds of divination to speak with the supernatural forces of the Plain and Watchers, going to the Message to the Above every other moon to try and interpret signs from their dreams, as well as channel the Gods through their bodies to relay messages to their Decks. Mirrors are also the healers of the Decks, being taught the medical knowledge needed to heal wounds, mend broken bones, cure illnesses, and more. These cats are extremely important to the Decks, and they wouldn't have survived for this long without them.
Instead of medicine cat apprentices, the Decks have Chips. These cats have the same tasks as Mirrors, but are in training to become full Mirrors. The way that Chips are taught vary from Deck to Deck, but for the most part, they're given the skills they need to become Mirrors of that Deck, with individualized training occurring for each Chip, helping them to learn and understand the supernatural forces of the Plain in the ways that they comprehend the best. Chips are typically the ones to collect needed herbs and gems for the Mirrors, and also help the Hands to socialize new kittens of the Decks.
Instead of queens, the Decks have Hands. These cats are the ones to keep the entire Deck organized and clean, helping with general maintenance around the Deck, making sure dens are nice and secure, cleaning out any spoiled fresh-kill, and so on. They're also the cats tasked with maintaining and helping out around the nursery, making sure kittens and pregnant Hands are secure. As soon as a cat is pregnant, they are given the Hand rank, and expected to do their duty to help and raise their kittens, as well as other nursing mothers' kittens. Once the kittens are graduated, or the mother can't continue being a Hand, they return to their previous status. Some mothers can reject the Hand rank entirely and move out as soon as possible, though this is generally frowned upon. The non-pregnant Hands of the Deck are basically bodyguards of the Nursery, as well as second mothers to the kittens of the nursery. They make sure the kittens are safe and secure, that the mothers are as well, and that there's no illness, abuse, or other negative things happening within the nursery. If any abuse is spotted, it's immediately reported to the Joker or Face of the Deck, and they'll decide what to do from there.
Instead of warriors, the Decks have Suits. These cats are the main type of rank you'd see in a Deck, being the general role that basically every cat is given. These are the heart of the Deck, and the Deck wouldn't survive without an abundance of Suits to make it function. These are the cats that patrol the borders, hunt for food, fight in battles to defend their Decks, and train the young of the Decks to become suits like themselves. Although the role may be simple, the Deck would not survive without them.
Among the Suits, there are some cats that have Special Roles. These special roles are used to help the Deck in some fashion, typically to keep them safe, gather resources, or generally obtain knowledge. These roles are extremely important, though no one besides the Face of that Deck knows what the roles are, and the roles are given in secret. No other cat knows who has a special role within that Deck, as they're to act exactly the same as a normal Suit--besides their individual role codes that help them dictate what they should and shouldn't do. Only a couple cats can fill these roles at a time, and typically, even the cats within the roles don't know who else has the role, even within their own Deck. All the cats know is that the role exists. To spread knowledge of what they are, or what they do, is illegal, and will be punished drastically.
Instead of elders, the Decks have Victors. These cats are the oldest and wisest cats of the Decks, having a lifetime full of experiences to share and use their knowledge to help the Decks continue to survive. They're named Victors due to the fact that they succeeded in survival long enough to finally be able to retire and relax (typically around the age of 7 years or so sometimes earlier), no longer having to worry about patrols or catching food or battling--unless they really feel like continuing to do that, which some totally do. Victors are to be treated with the utmost amount of respect, as not many can get to their point in life. If a Victor is retiring but they never earned a Title as a Suit, then they'd get a Title upon becoming a Victor. Rather than based off one specific achievement, they're given a Title based off their general disposition as a Suit.
Instead of apprentices, the Decks have Pips. These cats are the young ones who are growing to become a Suit or a Hand, learning how to hunt, fight, and survive in the Decks. Without Pips to grow into Suits, the Decks wouldn't survive. They're important, and are treated with an amount of respect because of this. Pips are given a single mentor to help them along their path of training, and the mentor is expected to regulate what they're doing on a day-to-day basis. When it comes to a Pip learning how to train their element, they're given different Elemental Trainers to work with, ones who might be able to help them understand what their element is exactly, and how to utilize it. All Pips typically learn a bit from the Hands as a whole as well, and other cats that aren't the Pip's mentor are allowed to take them out and help them train. It's very much a rank that follows the, 'it takes a village to raise a child' sort of idea.
The last rank of the Decks is Kittens. There is no special name for these cats, and they do exactly what you think they would. Be baby. Baby moment. It's baby time. That's it. They're typically under the care of their mother (and sometimes father), as well as the regular Hands of the Deck. The Chips of the Deck will also typically help socialize them a bit, as well as some Pips. They're not allowed to leave the camp, though they're allowed to wander around the camp under supervision in most cases.
PIP TRAINING / BASIC INFORMATION
Knowing how the Pips of the Deck work are important, as well as the ceremonies and training they go through.
All Decks have a ceremony for when their kittens become Pips, which is called a Pipping. The Pipping technically starts the day before the ceremony, where the kittens are brought to the Message to the Above by the Mirrors, and are to sleep there that night. Here, they receive a vision or dream of some sort that should give them a glimpse of their future, and help them decide whether or not they truly belong in the Deck they were born in. After they return the next morning, the kittens are given their Pip names, and The Pull begins. The Pull is the ceremony for the Suits and Hands of the Deck, deciding who'll become the mentor for the new Pips. The Mirrors of the Deck use their method of Reflection to determine who may be the best fit, and it's considered to be judgement from the Watchers and Gods themselves who gets paired with who. Once these ceremonies are over and all Pips have a mentor, the Deck will then celebrate in their own individual ways.
ELEMENT TRAINING
When cats are born, it can typically be assumed what element they have in them when they're born based off of their parents. If you know anything about Punnett Squares in biology, you'll know that there's recessive and dominant genes, and typically the more recessive a trait is, the less likely a child will be to show off the trait physically, or mentally. This is the same thought process as how elements work, where the more rare an element is, the less likely a cat will be to be born with the element.
Cats discover and learn how to harness their elements at different rates and different times, though it is typically genetic on how that all works. If their parents discovered their elements early, then then child typically will as well. This MAY not always be the case though. Sometimes with elements, they may not know how to use it, or even what it is, much later in life, such as moons after they graduated to adulthood. Typically, Pips will be helped by different elemental trainers, to see if they can help the Pip learn what their element is and how to use it. They'll usually be given multiple different trainers in their Piphood just to see if one's methods work better than another's.
THE TRIALS OF THE DECKS
These Trials are to prove a young cat's worth within the Deck, and how well they've honed their skills while in training. There are different Trials for young cats growing to be Suits, Hands, and Mirrors.
THE TRIALS OF THE SUITS
The Trials of the Suits is what lets a Pip prove their worth in the Decks, as these Trials are geared to test the Pip's skills that they would've learned through their 10 months of training. The Trial consists of 3 different challenges, the first being a test of fighting and hunting--To start, they fight a senior Suit of the deck and if they win, they succeed, and then they have to go hunt something on their own. If they can't beat the senior Suit, it's up to the senior Suit to decide how well they did, and if they succeeded what they should've been able to or not.
The second Trial is a test from the individual Deck, where they must prove their skills that their own Deck has taught them.
--The Pale tests their ability to paint and remember, offering puzzles to them and asking for a story told through art--fictional or real. This story art will be refined throughout their life, and will be held dear to them in some way--even if its short--and can be their basic vow (to renew and refine the artwork), if they can't find a different one.
--The Black tests their ability to find things, scattering objects throughout the woods in the territory and having the Pips go find the items. One of these items will help lead them to their personal goal, or help them figure out what their goal may end up being.
--the White tests their ability to be stealthy, having them sneak onto a Deck of their choice's territory and return with one bit of information, or proof that they weren't caught. This will help them to better hide their secret in the future.
--the Red tests their ability to detect the weather and observe other cats, having them try to guess what the weather the next day will be, as well as guessing 3 different cats' next moves, or one action they each will take throughout the next day.
The very best of the best will be set as a Special Role of the Deck, these roles being the Red Watchers, the White Gatherers, the Pale Keepers, and the Black Seekers.
The third Trial is the least interactive, but the most treacherous. The Pip must venture into the Forest of the Deities and come back alive. Almost no Pips die, but there's been a very small couple of cases recorded in their history. Anyway, they go into the Forest, and see if a Deity visits them. If not, they just leave the way they came... though some cats like to spend some time in the Forest before they finish their trial. If they make it out alive, they succeeded, and are then allowed to become a Suit of their Deck!
THE TRIALS OF THE HANDS
These Trials are almost exactly the same as the Trials of the Suits, but with one difference. The first Trial takes Pips through three tasks: Patching up all the dens available in the deck, tests their ability to keep kittens and/or other Pips in check and how well they can train them, and their fighting and awareness skills. Fighting skills so they protect the nursery well, and awareness skills so they can tell when cats are uneasy or in a bad state (especially mentally).
Otherwise all the other Trials are the same, except they'll become a Hand at the end!
THE TRIALS OF THE MIRRORS
As with the Trials of the Suits, these Trials are what lets a cat prove their worth in the Decks, as these Trials are geared to test a Chip's skills that they would've learned through their however many months of training. The Trial consists of 3 different challenges, the first being a test of medicine knowledge--how well they can identify any of the plants that they'll commonly be using, and if they can find at least 3 of the most important ones in their territory.
The second Trial is a test from the individual Deck, where they must prove their skills that their own Deck has taught them.
--The Pale tests their ability to care for the dead, having them take a piece of prey and creating a piece of art for it on the walls of one of the Darkened Tombs, then preparing a gravesite by the Tree of Death, and preparing the body by moving the body to be held peacefully and placing Starsfall on it after its put into the grave. This can be their vow (to protect and respect the dead) if they can't find another one.
--The Black tests their ability to understand others by making the Chip go to each other Deck, carrying a satchel of select herbs around their body, and giving them a bundle of their respective herbs before heading to the next one. The cats they meet may help them forward their goal, or help them find one if they don't have it yet.
--The White tests their ability to act in any guise, telling them to act as though they were a different cat for the day--either one that does or doesn't exist. If cats mistake them for another multiple times, then they succeed. This helps them to hide their secret in the future.
--The Red tests their ability to perceive the world around them, examining the water, air, sky, and everything else to interpret the signs of nature. If they can accurately interpret the next day based on what they read here, then they succeed.
When they become a Mirror, they'll most likely be given a temp Title based on what they showed here.
The third Trial is the least interactive, but the most treacherous. The Chip must venture into the Forest of the Deities and come back alive. Only one Chip has ever died in this trial. Anyway, they go into the Forest, and see if a Deity visits them. If not, they just leave the way they came... though some cats like to spend some time in the Forest before they finish their Trial. If they make it out alive, they succeeded, and are taken to the Message to the Above to complete their Mirror ceremony and receive their Mirror name from the Watchers!
OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION
This section is for anything either not typical to usual Warriors RPs, or stuff that I couldn't really figure out the best place for.
TITLES
The Titles are special names, or additions to their names, for cats who do especially prominent actions within the Plain or have something striking about them that would earn them that title. Any cat with a Title is typically seen as a cat of note, someone that has made an impact on the Decks as a whole.
While a Title may not necessarily grant a cat any specific power or ranking above others, they are more likely to be seen as respected when it comes to a positive Title or one that positively denotes them in some way. There are more neutral Titles, ones that don’t really do a whole bunch besides maybe say this is where this cat was from before they were in the Decks, or a cat's appearance, something that would have a meaning when being given a Title relating to it. Negative Titles are not ones that cats want. This usually means they’ve committed some crime or have done something bad to get that Title. Cats with negative Titles or ones that denote some crime are typically looked over or shunned, and if they are exiled, then they will not be taken in by another Deck unless under certain circumstances.
All Titles are to be announced at Callings and there is a ceremony held in every Deck for a cat receiving a Title. Remember that not every cat who does a particularly good action will receive a Title, and not every cat who does a particular bad action will receive a Title. In terms of the roleplay itself, Titles are typically to be earned through roleplay instead of automatically having the cat created with the Title in place. However, all Mirrors, Jokers, Victors, and Faces must have titles, so if you’re making a cat that is in one of those ranks, they need to have a Title and will NOT be earning it through RP.
Another thing to note is that Titles can change. So for instance, your Title was 'The Seeker' for being really good at finding things in the Black Deck. It can be changed to 'The Boar' later on after you potentially came across the Comet and got really messed up by it. In most cases a Title will not change, but there is still the chance that one could. If you do not want your Title to be changed throughout the RP, just make a note of that when you initially receive it.
BEYOND THE GRAVE
The Living Dead are a type of dead cat, risen from the ground itself. They’re darkly colored, dripping with crusted and black blood, wounds from their death forever open and exposed. Their ways are normally nefarious, and none are ever to be trusted. They linger in the mortal realm as strange, morphed creatures of darkness, and typically seem to have unfinished business on the Plain... Or were never good enough to rise into the Sky and join the Watchers. The Rise of the Dark is a time when massive groups of the Living Dead will rise up and wreak havoc on the Decks on the nights of New Moons. The sky turns bloody and inky, shining down with a dismal maroon light. This is also the only time that every cat can see all of the Living Dead, as they typically can’t be seen easily except by a couple cursed few…
The Watchers From Above are the serene competitors of the Living Dead, where instead of being chaotic, harmful monsters of the dead, The Watchers are helpful in the survival of the Decks and the defeat of the Living Dead. They send the mortals of the Plain visions and messages, boons and aids when they falter, and their presence can be sensed even by those who struggle to believe in them. As the Rise of the Dark is the Living Dead’s time of life on the Plain, The Fall of the Light is the Watchers’ own. They come down from above while the moon is full, shining down with an ethereal white and sky light, illuminating the entire Plain. Other than this time though, they’re never able to be seen by the mortals of the Plain, no matter what, on any other night or day.
AD INFINITUM
There is no Starclan, and there is no Dark Forest. There is only a collective place where the dead rest, called Ad Infinitum. In this place, strange areas exist, denoting the areas where the Deities and Gods rest. Spirits can go wherever they please here, though there's no guarantee that they'll remain safe if they stray too far from what they know. The places inside of Ad Infinitum, as far as the cats know, are The Calamity, The Serenity, The Gaze, The Glare, The Peer, and The Stare.
BLURSED CATS
Some cats may be born, or may be given, a blessing or a curse in their lifetime. There's different types of both, and what they do may be very different from another. Blursed cats are rather rare in the Plain, and aren't often made. God-touched cats are the most common type of blursing, rather than blessings and curses themselves. When a cat is God-touched, it means a God of Calamity or Serenity has touched the cat or focused on them in some way that gave the cat a permanent mark, and a very small portion of the God's powers may now reside inside that cat. Sometimes, the God just stumbled across them somehow, or a God specifically sought them out and touched them. Depending on who the God was, this power may be seen positively or negatively, but they can always be used for good or evil, no matter what the general view of that God may be.
Blessings and Curses are from The Deities themselves, and obviously, can be good or bad. The effect of these aren't properly known either, but some cats who have been known to be blursed were given special powers of some sort. It's assumed that they also then have a strong connection that Deity, but since this happening has been so rare up to this point, it's not entirely known what the blessings or curses may actually do.
DECK-WIDE MEETINGS
The Calling is a meeting between all the decks that happens every other full moon. They meet inside the abandoned human church and sit in the pews of the church to listen to their Faces announce important information on the podium that still stands at the front of the church. The stained glass windows above the balcony of the church shine down brightly every full moon no matter what season it is and no matter what time of night it is. This light from the moon is said to be from the Watchers From Above looking down at them. Considering that every Full Moon there is a rise of Watcher activity, these nights are the perfect time to have a gathering—where all the Decks can feel at peace and safe from the dangers of the world around them. As the Callings are in a peaceful zone, there’s to be no fighting, ever. To fight is to break the peace of the safe space that has been made specifically for all cats of the Decks, as well as any outsiders. Anyone who breaks this rule will be punished heavily depending on which deck they’re in specifically. If there is no Full Moon, at least when the Calling happens, the Calling will be canceled and all the Decks will go back to their respective camps, as they are no longer protected with the light of the moon. The Watchers cannot control the sky, or the clouds, or anything of that nature, so to have the Full Moon be blocked and the light not shine through the windows means that something dangerous is happening, and it’s not safe to stay in a place where they are no longer fully protected.
The Messaging is a meeting between all the Mirrors and Chips of the Decks that happens every other half moon, never occurring on the same moon of a Calling unless under special or emergency circumstances. This meeting happens in the Message To The Above, in a room where four differently colored stained glass windows let the light from the moon shine inside, creating clear reflections on the floor below. The cats are to lay in the reflection that correlates with their Deck, along with the other Mirrors/Chips in their Deck, and fall asleep there. They then fall into Ad Infinitum, and end up wherever the Watchers take them to—typically, the Serenity. Once they’re awake, they’re to go back to their Decks and record what happened to them that night, for future reference.
All the Decks have a winter and summer gathering where they spend a week playing games and competing, specifically in their elements! There are races, crafting sessions, a feast, and so on.
THE DECKLESS
There’s cats that linger outside of the Decks themselves, which can be called the Deckless. These may be cats that were exiled, left their Deck, or those that wandered onto the Plain and haven’t left yet. They’re typically just called outsiders, whoever they are, and most cats don’t have much of an opinion on them. They try to keep them off their own territory, but they’re not in any hurry to try and kill the outsiders or anything. Most outsiders are fully able to join a Deck as well, although there is a camp set out under the Bridge To The Other Side, where these Deckless cats can linger and spend their days in relative peace. If an outsider is rude or troublesome though, they may be kicked out of that camp, and won’t be allowed back in. Along with cats, some outsiders may also contain some non-feline animals, with the same level of sentience and intelligence as the cats themselves.
On the Plain and the surrounding areas, some sentient animals exist that are not cats. There are some stray dogs, some birds, some predators, and so on. These animals are sometimes allowed to actually join the Decks themselves, though it’s very rare for this to actually happen. The variety of personalities and groups that non-felines can have vary drastically, but it's not known exactly who feels what way towards the Decks. The only group we know of right now is a band of malicious seeming Raccoons, led by a gruff one called Scabber.
THE DECK CODE
The Code of the Decks is what the cats of the Plain follow. It's essentially laws and rules that the cats are to follow, and breaking them could end in severe punishment, depending on the rule broken. Each Deck has their own set of unique rules as well, so make sure to read those when making a character, and obviously these ones as well.
General Code of the Decks:
As is the nature of the Decks, loyalty to keeping every Deck alive is of the utmost importance. Should the time come to leave your own Deck behind or join with another for the betterment of ALL Decks, you will not be punished. However, during war and battles, you must help your own Deck survive--even allowing death to befall you for the safety of the Deck as a whole.
Any Wanderers of the Plain are to be respected, unless they don't respect you first. Although they don't belong to a Deck, they are trapped in the Plain of Revelation just like the rest of the Decks, and are only trying to survive, just as you are. Exiled cats are not to be respected and may be chased off by whoever sees them on non-neutral or peaceful grounds.
The Living Dead are to be avoided as much as possible, no matter what their intent seems to be. To commune with those that haven't been allowed into the Above for whatever reason is frowned upon, and punishments may befall you if you're caught interacting with them.
To fight another cat in any territory that's in in the Peaceful Zone is a major crime, especially if the cat gets killed. Breaking this rule will end in a major punishment, possibly exile depending on how severe the fight was.
Do not hunt for food on another Deck's territory. You may come onto another Deck's territory for the sole purpose of meeting friends in another Deck, but for no other reason than that. Mirrors are free to come and go on whoever's territory as they please.
Generally, Victors, Hands, and kittens are to be fed first, especially any injured members of the Deck. This rule may change from Deck to Deck, however.
Don't hunt for sport, prey is limited. You will be punished in every Deck for killing prey for fun.
Don't kill other cats unless the situation deems it necessary. As the Decks are important to the complete survival of the cats that live on the Plain, killing another cat only lowers the chance of all-around survival.
Every other moon, a Call will be held in the Call of the Gods, where all four Decks meet in the peaceful zone and discuss how life has been treating them, as well as announce any major changes or happenings within the Decks themselves. Outsiders are also allowed to visit and join in on the Call, being given a speaking spot if there's anything major they'd like to announce to the Decks.
Every moon that doesn't hold a Call is to have a Messaging, where the Mirrors and their Chips go to the Message to the Above and sleep in the light of the moon to visit the Above and receive whatever messages the Watchers have for them.
The boundaries of the Deck territories are to be checked and re-marked daily, and the camps and dens of every Deck must be cleaned and overlooked by the Hands once every week.
Never neglect or abandon a kitten in need, no matter where the kitten is from, and no matter if it's been cursed by a Deity or touched by a God.
Although there won't be a punishment for cross-Deck romances, it's generally frowned upon to stay in separate Decks while mates with a cat from another Deck. You will not be punished for leaving to join who you love, and you will be accepted back into your previous Deck if you split with them.
Ranking Code of the Decks:
Kittens are only allowed to become Pips or Chips at 6 moons old, no younger than that. All Pips graduate at 18 moons, unless held back from graduation for some reason. Chips are graduated when the Mirrors feel they're ready.
All Pips and Chips, when graduating to their higher rank, have to go through the Trial of the Suits/Mirrors. No cat can become a rank higher than a Pip or Chip if they don't go through this Trial, no matter what their age or skill level is.
All high ranking members of the Deck must have a Title upon becoming that high rank. These ranks include Victors, Mirrors, the Joker, and the Face. If a member of the Deck doesn't already have a Title when they're accepted into the position, then they'll be given a Title at the same time.
There are not strict limits on how many Jokers, Mirrors, Special roles, or Hands a Deck has. The only role that there cannot be more than one of is the Face, simply due to the fact that it's impossible for the Deities to give lives to more than one cat at a time.
Faces can step down from their role if they so choose, but there's no guarantee to how the Deities will react. They can in fact revoke lives without killing a cat, but due to their nature, this may be a very tricky and uncertain process.
Every Deck must have a Face, Joker, and Mirror. If a Deck does not have one of these, and no one was elected to fill the spot by the previous Face/current Face, then the Deck will vote for who they feel fits the role best.
There is no requirement for when a Joker can become a Joker, except for needing to be OVER 24 MOONS, as the Deities will decide if they're truly the one best fit for the position when they go to become a Face, and it's morally wrong to let a child become a leader. If the Joker is rejected from Face status, then the next best cat will be elected to go and become the Face.
A Joker does not need to become a Face immediately after the previous Face has died. If the Joker needs time to prepare and find another Joker to take their place if they're rejected by the Deities, then they're allowed as much time as the next full moon meeting, whether that be a Messaging or a Call. If they haven't gone to become a Face by that time, then they're either forced to by their Deck, or they must send someone to become the Face instead of themselves. However, if they send someone else to become the Face, then they are then unable to remain a Joker and are never allowed to be one again.
Faces, Jokers, and Mirrors are not restricted from having a mate or having kittens, as long as they can continue to do their work. Cross-Deck relationships are forbidden for them however, due to the restrictive nature of their roles.
Any Special ranking in the Decks must not divulge information of their job to any other member of the Deck, besides the Face or Joker of the same Deck.
