The Eganian Confederation (EC) is a confederation of various planets in the galaxy to decide on common rules and base units for ease of life and trade. It oversees law, currency, as well as interplanetary trade.
The EC is made up of 15 planets, each sending representatives to a bi-yearly council called Galaetus. The number of representatives per planet starts with 2, and increases depending on population. Although attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.

After the end of the war, Terra (formerly known as "Earth") was left devastated. Most buildings have been reduced to wreckage and streets have been torn up due to bombardment. Although civilization has been healing over recent years, the destruction to the ecosystem has taken a great toll on Terra's residents.
A planet covered in lush greens and animal life. Home to the Lekonian Scientists Association, Lekon boasts immense university cities that serve as the scientific hotspot of the universe. Imagine solarpunk.
The "sunset civilization", the residents of Baktle live on the terminal line of their planet to avoid the harsh sun. Because the planet does not rotate around itself (tidally locked w/ star), the "day" side is harsh desert and the "night" is perpetually frozen.
A rocky planet completely submerged in water. Its inhabitants live on floating platforms, and gather supplies by diving into the vast ocean.

A planet of eternal sandstorms. In order to avoid the toxic outside environment, its inhabitants live underground in a network of caves and tunnels. Very little is known about this planet by outsiders.
Inspiration: Venus
A desert planet in the Solar System, formerly theorized as "Planet 9" by Terra. The planet is slowly "dying" as its core freezes and rotation slows. A dry and rocky planet with very little recourses, save for valuable metals and gems. A large portion of its saltwater oceans have dried up, leaving stretches of salt plains in its wake.
A lawless land known for its markets. Hiwan has no intelligent lifeforms that have been recognized for the EC and other planets have spheres of influence within the land. Many refugees of war gather here. The land is low lying and is surrounded with water.
The residents of Egainia, improperly referred to as the "Egainians", the Egonan possess photographic memory.

The Balek are a warrior race from Baktle who possess more strength than the average citizen. (Evolved to be stronger due to size of planet)
Appearance: humanoid
Hair Color: rose gold/coral, brown, orange, red
Eye Color: silver, black, gold
Skin Color: Slightly redder shades, some may have tanned or dark skin depending on location of birth
Blood Color: red-ish bronze
*Note: the Balek have also evolved to be shorter due to the intense gravity
The Igati are the residents of Naava and have the ability to breathe and see clearly underwater. They also have webbed hands and feet. Some may have gills.

The Nann are the residents of Dakna, and possess the ability to see in the dark. They are also more resistant to natural toxins and harsh environments.
Appearance: humanoid
Hair Color: silver, white
Eye Color: black, yellow, red, deep green
Skin Color: pale/grey-ish tones due to lack on sunlight
Blood Color: translucent black
The Granila, residents of Granil, possess regenerative abilities. They have adapted to require less water to survive in their desert home.
Appearance: humanoid
Hair color: brown, grey, blonde, red
Eye Color: blue, brown, black, green
Skin Color: shades of tan/brown
Blood Color: red
*Note: earthy tones of eyes, hair, and skin
Brief explanation of regenerative abilities:
The Granila can regrow lost limbs to a certain limit, usually only until the end of the bone that was left intact. Regeneration rate depends on size of the injury, but is rather fast. Bullet wounds take about 1-3 hours to heal, depending on the amount of damage and amputated limbs can take 1 day to 3 weeks.

The locals of Hiwan that haven't been proven to be sentient, therefore not qualifying as an Intelligent race. They appear somewhat humanoid but with longer lanky features and are often extremely short. They don't appear to be capable of communicating through speech, and their way of life is still a mystery to the scientists of the EC.
Spaceports orbit almost all planets of the EC, they are where travelers may park ships and other vehicles that are too dangerous to use to descend onto the planet with. Similar to airports, spaceports have things such as food courts and security checks. Some larger Spaceports may also have hotels connected to it.
One option to travel between the spaceport and the planet is the Space elevator. A space elevator passes by the spaceports at specific periods of time, and travelers are able to go back and fourth. An alternate option is to use designated shuttles owned by the spaceports, but this option is less popular due to the limited amount of people and luggage that can be transferred at a time.
Another option of travel is the use of Skyhooks (aka. Space tethers) These are less used, but are more economically friendly due to less fuel needed to propel the ship.
Most space-travel related vehicles are owned by one large company for convenience. It also allows for easier tracking and monitoring of people by the government.
Because planets are constantly moving, the Lanesse created “tracking” devices that were placed on each planet of the Egainian Empire. All ships are equipped with a device that picks up these signals. There are knobs on the ship’s receiver (the part that receives the signals) that one turns to tune the “frequency”. Every planet’s lighthouse (the part that emits the frequencies) has a different tuning.
"Lighthouses" are positioned on each planet, and are large structures that emit signals into space for the receivers to pick up. (They used to be positioned on the spaceports in orbit around the planets, but they had to be moved after one crashed into a planet's moon)
All people have a small chip embedded on the inside of their left wrist. The chip itself is about the size of a fingernail, bendable, and blends in almost perfectly with the wrist. It is placed there soon after birth, making it near impossible to remove. The chip does the following:
ID, each is programmed with the person’s information: name, planet of birth, birthday, race (and race ranking), etc.
Money currency, digital currencies are used to avoid theft
Location, it tracks the location of the individual, which is available to see in the control towers of Egainia and Lekon.
Unfortunately for the EC, they aren't too difficult to tamper with...
A common surgery that is performed on the neck area to install an opening for air tank insertion. Once a tube is inserted into the left side of the neck, a thin screen is drawn closed in the upper neck. The screen serves as a filter, letting air out of the lungs but does not let any new air in through the mouth. Once the person breathes in, air is instead drawn from the tank that is connected to the neck.
CTIs are commonly used in foreign environments with nontoxic and unbreathable air. The tanks containing breathable air are worn on the body, usually in the form of a backpack.

A meeting of the representatives of the EC that happens twice a year. Most of the time, members will assemble more than the required minimum due to new propositions and ideas. The meeting place shifts around regularly. Members of the council are notified a month prior to the meeting, and Galaetus can take up to a month (ga) due to debates and disagreements.
The exact time and location is left ambiguous to all involved except for a select few that guide the participants to the meeting hall. Galaetus takes place in various locations within the EC, generally in safer and secure buildings.
The choosing of representatives are left up to individual governments. Each planet is encouraged to send two or more reps depending on the size of the population.
Current Divisions:
Baktle - 6
Egania - 4
Dakna - 3
Granil - 2
Terra - 2
Lekon - 2
Naava - 2
Hiwan - 0
Although attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.
Representatives in each Galaetus may propose policies, which are then voted on by the Galaetus council. Upon a ⅔ vote, the policy would become a loose agreement that all planets within the EC must follow. Such policies tend to be non-restrictive and loose. Upon a request to abolish a policy, a similar vote must be held, with ⅔ in favor of abolishment.
The Galaetus council has the power to determine the following:
Determine loose agreements
Provide aid in times of need to other planets
Regulate trade/interplanetary law
The EC has no central military force, as the confederation is only a loose binding of nearby planets. In case of outside threats, all planets are requested to send as much military force as possible.
Schools and Public Education exist, and are free for all people. Although there is a recommended age group for every grade, all are allowed to go. School is not mandatory though. Due to children(/people) having differing and complicated situations, it is not against the law to have children not attend school. Children are taught basic literature, math, sciences, history, social studies, and have the option to take courses such as art, philosophy, and other advanced classes. Grades 1 through 8 are recommended for certain age groups, and any more education can be chosen by the individual depending on what they are aiming for in the future (similar to collage). Especially in planets with high populations, there is a high literacy rate and most people have at least 10 years of education.
To work in a (EC) government position, 18 years of education is required, and can be even higher depending on the position and local requirements.
