Basic plot outline!
except the issue is that i have no plot because i only do worldbuilding.
TLDR: Silvik (scifi coffee shop owner) has to take care of Mythia (random child), Pri'ilimus (sickly govt official), and Anhil (the sickly govt official's partner in crime) unwillingly. They somehow get involved in a galaxy-wide conspiracy. Let the chaos begin!
"Planetai" - asters planetai, my wandering stars. Or in modern terms, planets. Fitting for a scifi, no?
Planetai follows a small group of people who, for one reason or another, washed up together. They all come from all backgrounds and have experienced the world around them to a varying degrees, but as they get to know each other, they begin to carve out a little comfortable place to exist in this chaotic world.
> Mythia is a kid from Baktle who was sent out to "see the world" by his family to have him avoid getting caught in the political turmoil of his home planet. Being only fourteen, he still hasn't figured out what it means to live in the world, much less his own place in it. But as he runs into Silvik and the others, he expands his horizons while making lifelong friends and a trusty support network along the way.
> Silvik is a war refugee and a human that has abandoned his former home, Terra (Earth). Haunted by the horrors of war and betrayal, Sil has emotionally shut himself off from the world. With the intervention and Mythia though, he's slowly learning to appreciate everything for what it is. Runs a coffee shop out of his spaceship that he oh-so-creatively named "coffee".
> Pri'ilimus comes from a family of successful politicians, and had always expected to be one himself. With his recent diagnosis with the fatal disease Derio, he's realizing the importance of experiencing the world. Deciding to use his remaining time to leave a mark, he's making sure to push for important legislation while having as having as much fun as possible on the side. After running into Myth and Sil, he's decided that he'll be joining them on their humble little journey aboard Sil's ship.
> Anhil had always been shunned due to her physical appearance, having been born with an appearance eerily similar to the god of destruction within Igati religion. Leaving her home to escape the institutional hatred, she runs into Pril who gives her a place to stay and work. Now serving as both his best friend and "attendant" in formal settings, Anhil wishes to help those like herself and contribute to Pril's goals of creating a better world. She takes great interest in learning new things from the people around her.
All four of these people end up staying on Silvik's ship and living together, either unwillingly or willingly, at the expense of Silvik's peace and quiet. As they learn more from each other, former comrades and enemies from Silvik's life return amidst shifting political turmoil in the galaxy, bringing with them a full blown coup d'état on Baktle and refugee faction conflicts backed by larger organizations.
> really just a mess of broken people and politics.
Not exactly a "power of friendship" story, but a story about the impacts of war on human nature in context of an idealistic world past the bounds of Earth.

Hey so one thing I have been consistant about is that the story is inconsistent. Literally spending all of my time on worldbuilding because I can't write. Anyway so if things don't make sense, apologies. It doesn't make sense to me either.
Some characters change their names as time passes, especially the human characters that leave Terra (/"Earth"). Here are some for reference:
Silvik Nalun (EC/current) - Hey so I actually forgot what his name was supposed to be. Originally was "Syln" but I hate it so... I'm taking suggestions. DM me.
Lynson D'Ambe (EC/current) - Lindon Caillot (Terra/birth name)
"Vikky" (Terra) - Vikia Ahlmun (Dakna/current/birth name)
Also note that Terra is called "Earth" by its inhabitants, the humans. I will use these two terms interchangably.
A poorly written "backstory" behind the earth gang. All events transpire up to seven years before the story begins.
An ongoing war between Egania and Terra/"Earth" for the past 20 years
Lekon intervening as a third unknown party, assassination of Eganian ambassador during peacetalks, resulting in a full retaliation from Egania on Earth, ultimately ending the war
Sil didn’t particularly live with his family, his parents were divorced and he didn’t get along with them well. He stayed over at lyn’s place a lot. Lyn was a few years older and came from a more affluent loving family. Both went to high school together, and after graduating, lyn was supposed to go to college. Sil also had wanted to go to college but couldn’t afford it, and it was difficult to get a higher education while at war. Anton was the third person in their trio that they would rope into their shenanigans, most of the time unwillingly. Lyn and Sil were childhood friends, and one day lyn had brought Ant into the group. Tai was a cool bartender living in their area that they would sneak off to snag alc from.Sil dreamed of going to college as a history student, while lyn was supposed to go into engineering. Ant didn’t think about it, but in a modern world he might have gone into polisci or sm that he has no passion in. And would have complained the whole way. Neither Ant nor Sil were able to attend college due to financial restrictions, and Lyn wasn’t able to attend more than two years until their hometown became a warzone. (ages: sil 18, ant 18, lyn 20)
Their town, somewhere in urban America, is attacked by Lekonian troops. Not Egania. Obviously the residents don’t particularly care who was attacking them, and the earth govt had expected egania to be working with another outside org anyway so it wasn’t too surprising. Lekon, however, was not afraid to kill civilians. Things calmed down after the initial attack for a while, but left most of their town devastated. (Target as a part of a “cause chaos” operation, random attacks all over the globe). Many residents were displaced to refugee centers in the main city miles away. The night before they left, Sil, Ant, and Lyn were hanging out at the field amidst the rubble, as teenage kids do. Here, they run into Vikia.
They all have…differing reactions. Anton, rightfully, is suspicious as heck. The enemy had been silent for the past few weeks, and suddenly an alien, a naan of all things, shows up. Silvik is overwhelmed with curiosity, but he doesn’t really act on it. He wants to know more about these aliens that they had been told for their whole lives was the “enemy”. Sure, totally dumb of him, but he also knew immediately that Dakna, Vikia’s ethnic home planet, was a neutral party in the conflict. Also she just looked so young. Couldn’t have been older than Lyn. Lyn was the first to interact with her, feeling out the situation and accepting everything as it was. A nann, on earth, stranded. Vikia explains that she wasn't supposed to end up on earth, but was intercepted on her way to Hiwan, a nearby planet. Her ship’s navigation had failed on her because of the Lekonian army’s interference systems, and had crashed onto earth. All she could do was to guide the ship towards open land near a civilization, so she could hope for refuge from the humans. Though suspicious, the three kids accepted her explanation. She wasn’t hostile, and they didn’t trust earth’s authorities to treat her kindly. Maybe they should have been more cautious.
Vikia grew up in Nihr, a nann colony on Orase, with her brother Luxim and their loving parents. She and her brother had always been close, and she would often help her dad care for him while her mom was at work. This all changed after a mass-kidnapping operation took them away from their family. (Ages 16 and 10)
Their kidnappers brought them to a remote facility on Naava, belonging to a small yet secretive branch of the Lekonian Scientist's Association. Held along with kids from all backgrounds, including some from Hiwan, Vikia and Luxim awaited their fate. Eventually it is known to a select few that, amidst ongoing war efforts on Terra (earth), Lekon had wanted kids of various ethnicities to use as spies - or pawns. Luxim is chosen for a mission on earth, and Vikia volunteers to go instead. She negotiates for a hostage situation: Lux's disabilities would make him useless to Lekon anyway. Hold him hostage there, on Naava, as proof of her loyalty. Ultimately getting what she had wanted, she is shipped off to Terra.
After reaching Terra and landing somewhere in suburban "America", Vikia runs into Silvik, Lynson, Anton, Jay, and Tai. She tells the others that she had shipwrecked while on her way to another planet, Hiwan. Although reluctant to accept her at first, they become fast friends during unstable times.
After a few months spent adapting to the environment, new orders come. Her mission: assassinate the Eganian ambassador at the next peace talks in a few days. Although she is confused why Lekon would want to assassinate an ambassador of their own allied country, orders are orders. She leaves her newfound friends and finds her way over to the urban city where talks were to be held. Silvik, Lynson, Anton, and Jay realize her absence and chase after her.
Vikia hated injustice. She hated killing, she hated doing the bidding of her kidnappers. But in exchange for the assurance of her dear brother's life, she had willingly put themselves in a hostage situation. And she will get the job done. And she did.
By the time Silvik, Ant, Lyn, and Jay catch up, it was already too late. Vikia was on the run, and now her human friends were seen with her. Fighting forces of both Egania and Earth, the group scramble away, not understanding what they had witnessed.
The killing of the ambassador is twisted to be at the fault of the humans. Egania attacked Terra in full scale war, leading to the end of an era for the planet. Silvik, Lynson, Anton, and Jay, who were seen with Vikia that day, are also branded as criminals from the human government. They are left with no choice but to escape Terra ... and out of the crushing guilt of taking their futures away from them, Vikia offers to take them on her ship. Conflicted, they ultimately accept.
---
After splitting once they reach Hiwan, Silvik asserts that he wishes to stay with Vikia. He had gotten the truth about her situation out of her, and wanted to help save Luxim. And they do.
The three of them, after numerous ordeals, retreat to Dakna for refuge. It is around this time Vikia starts developing feelings for Sil, though she would never dare to act on them. Luxim might have known.
One day, out of the blue, she receives contact from Anton, asking to meet. Alone. It's unknown what happened, or who's fault it was, but Vikia Ahlmun never came back from this trip.

the concept of a "timeline" gets a bit difficult since the Eganian Confederation has its own time system, and I am hesitant to rely too much on Terra's time keeping system. For now, a vague flow of events.
These events are strictly in chronological order, and are NOT how the sequence of events will be portrayed in the final product.
Ego-Earth War: ~20 yrs
War between Terra and a portion of the Eganian Confederation over... no one really knows. One day they just started attacking each other. (And definitely not for monopolistic reasons).
Wartime efforts in the EC include various information networks headed by spies as well as drafting and training soldiers. Although the draft is justified in official records, many who were related to those drafted intensely disapprove.
A retaliatory attack from Terra is sabotaged, directly leading to the capture of prominent political leaders on Terra. The Ego-Earth War is officially declared over.
Leads to an age of mass immigration from the destroyed Terra to the EC > the people of the EC carry biases against the humans from the years of war, tensions break out all over the galaxy.
EC passes definitive legislation against the immigration of humans to the EC, travel is not outright banned but is made increasingly difficult. Those who are already out of Terra are actively tracked down and shipped back to the ruined planet.
End of Ego-Earth War - Baktle Revolution ~7 yrs
In protest to the EC's devastation of Terra, various organizations are formed world-wide. The most prominent of which include the "Alliance", based in Hiwan, composed mainly of refugees of planets that have been wronged by the EC.
Lekon, hidden away from Eganian/EC supervision, continue its morally-grey tactics to gain an information advantage in locations around the galaxy. There are a series of assassinations of political figures in smaller countries and planets that are later tracked down to Lekon.
A Lekonian base of operations that wasn't recorded by the EC is exposed on Naava after locals report large explosions and fire in a secluded area of the southern continent.
The Peacekeepers, a "pacifict activist" organization emerges in Dakna, and quickly gainst support in refugee camps throughout the galaxy.
Baktle's people resist EC forced legislation after its representatives sign to join the Eganian Confederation, ultimately resulting in a coup d'etat sponsored by anti-EC organization, the Alliance, headed by former Baktle military general Zylok.
The EC declares the Alliance as a terrorist organization, sending out military to crush the rebellion on Baktle.
"Silvik", Lindon, Jay, and Anton all grow up in an era of war and economic struggle. Although they are not initially actively at the warfront, they eventually end up being involved in wartime efforts against the Eganian Confederation.
"Vikky" crashes onto Earth and the group of friends help her, unknowing that she is a spy sent by the LSA (Lekon's Government).
"Vikky" is a key factor in the sabotauge of Terra's final attack, leading to the end of the war. The others learn of her status as a spy, and are split.
Silvik, Vikia ("Vikky"), Lynson (Lindon), and Anton leave Terra for various reasons following the war, and mostly to escape from the Terra government as they are now wanted for conspiration with a spy and betraying Terra. They all have different views of Vikia's choices, ranging from compassion to outright hostility.
Silvik and Vikia leave for Lekon, where Vikia's younger brother is held hostage.
Lynson and Anton leave for Hiwan, in search of other refugees.
Jay decides to stay behind on Terra and help with recovery efforts - her face isn't known by the government, she isn't at risk like the others.
Anton is recruited into the Alliance by a senior member known as Zylok.
Lynson finds himself on a planet called Baktle, which has only been added to the EC recently. On the streets, he meets a scientist named Eleuthar, and her guide, Yashiya.
Vikia and Silvik gather other victims of the Lekon spy operations and raid a base near Tenotill, Naava. They succeed in burning down the HQ and free Luxim, Vikia's younger brother.
Hiding from the Lekon government once more, Vikia, Luxim, and Silvik move to Dakna.
Silvik takes on the label of "nann", and bleaches his hair white.
Anton, now a full fledged member of the Alliance, asks to meet Vikia alone on Granil
Vikia is assassinated
Silvik leaves Dakna and finds himself crashing with Lynson in Lekon for three years.
Luxim emerges as the founder and leader of the new pacifist organization, the Peacekeepers.
Mythia Sahven leaves Baktle, sent out by his brother (Yashiya Sahven) and mother to avoid the war. He runs into Silvik at the spaceport of Hiwan. (START OF MAIN STORY)
Anton involved as a key player of the Baktle coup as Zylok's right hand man.
Pri'ilimus meets and saves Anhil in Taksal Territories, Naava, Lenari
Pri'ilimus diagnosed with fatal disease, Derio
Got tired will update later. T-T
