See here for more in-depth planet and civilization information.
A recent addition to the Eganian Confederation.
A high density planet with tidally locked orbit. Stable climate with a circular orbit, one side is burning hot and the other freezing temperatures. Water only is able to naturally exist on the terminal line (an expansive river called the Certa) in between the “day” and “night” sides. Most of the civilizations are on or near the Certa with little life in the most extreme parts of the planet. Most civilizations exist in eternal sunrise/sunset.
The buildings are dug into the rock along walls and caves to regulate temperatures, majority of the barren land closest to Certa is scattered with windmills.

Due to the higher gravity of their home planet, the Balek are known to be several times stronger than most of the other peoples of the EC. With Baktle's extreme weather, many wear linen or cotton-like loose fitting clothing to best regulate the temperatures.
The common language of the hot side is Erawo, while the cold side predominantly speaks Renva. Most of the population about the Certa practice a religion known as Suodohoh, based in Baktle's base-eight number system.
Skin tone tends to differ based on which face of the planet one lives, most have reddish tints. Hair also tends to also be redder, with a majority of the population having a dusty red to a light coral color.
As the stellar system's star is not a good measure of time, the balek instead relies on the spin of Baktle's moons.
Baktle is largely divided into seven larger "Ohosas" or countries, with three on the hot side and four on the cold side. Cities are also labeled by "zones", showing how far away from Certa, the terminal line, a place is. (> 0 = hot / < 0 = cold)
Cities:
Khloe
A densely populated settlement along the Southwestern floodplains. Zone -1.
Tikum
A small village in zone 3, far from the Certa. Due to its positioning, it is decently cold year-round. Most inhabitants are pale and live in tighter buildings to help regulate heat. Mythia and Yashiya's hometown. Zone 3
Uran
Capital city of Baktle. Most of the city is a business district while residential zones are scarce. Zone 1
Vié
A popular tourist town of Baktle. Because it is on the terminal line, the weather is considered to be one of the best of the planet.

Sausu ("younger brother") - larger moon of Baktle, pink-ish color

Suodohoh, roughly translating to "holy numbers", is the historic religion of the majority of the planet of Baktle. Passed through generations of Renva and Erawo speaking families of Baktle, Suodohoh is a religion heavily based on Baktle's unique base-eight number system.
Each practicing member of the tradition of Suodohoh is given a name that corresponds to a divinity, which is said to determine the indivisual's goals or desires (think astrology). Those who convert into the tradition are given a new name.
The six divinities of Suodohoh are only known by their corresponding numbers in the modern day, despite having names in the distant past. The names were lost to time after addressing the divinities by name became seen as sacreligous about two thousand years ago.
(I have some of the names but not sharing for the mystique lol)
1 - ya
god of protection, charity, and preservation, water aligned
2 - yu/u
no aligned god, the sacred number
3 - mu
god of connection and truth, fire aligned
4 - mi
god of curiosity and knowledge, air aligned
5 - ue
god of devotion and diligence, stone aligned
6 - sa
god of creation and artistry, life aligned
7 - lok
god of passion and wealth, ice aligned
Note: although the people of modern day are not as religous as they used to be, most practitioners of Suodohoh have names with their respective numbers in it. Those who believe usually posess some form of pendant or emblem that serves as a symbol for their connection to their divinity.
Mythia Sahven - "Mi", the god of curiosity and knowledge
Yashiya Sahven - "Ya", the god of protection and preservation
Zylok - "Lok", the god of passion and wealth
emblems for each of the six divinities

This is where world-building becomes too much...very obviously still a wip.
