The Eganian Confederation (EC) is a galactic alliance of various planets headed by the Egania (not the same thing!!) to decide on common rules and base units for ease of life and trade. It oversees law, currency, as well as interplanetary trade.
PLEASE note that a lot of this was written by a 15 year old, and have not been reviewed/updated since.
Ships going fast and of a certain size can skip over chunks of space as if the space it skips is "folded" in on itself. The generally approved dotting speed/rate allows for a flight time to be roughly equal to the natural speed of light, anything above this needs further permission (used for longer dist. travels). The ship requires more energy the more it dots, so there is a careful system in place regarding it.
Local travel (~4 LY max recommended):
Dotting paths are calculated and registered via an online database compiled by the EC. Taking the form of a website, the “Ganiia Dotting Register” allows pilots to input a start location, end, preferred travel time, and route. It then provides the most efficient course with a set time frame to avoid possible collisions with any other registered vehicles, as well as celestial bodies. This is a quick process with very little wait time, and instructions from the website can be directly imported into the spaceship’s console to make navigation almost fully automatic.
Long distance (+4 LY)
Any distance longer than 4 light years is required to register a course with a physical transportation center on any planet or spacestation, though these centers serve travelers going any distance. Though similar to registering online, the in-person transportation center will generate a thoroughly checked course plan and assign a time slot, they will also register you onto the database and a log of long-distance travelers. Travelers are then given a code to use a launcher to enhance ship speed to close to the speed of light as possible, allowing for more energy to dot for longer distances. This plan is usually used by any travelling to different star systems as well as other inter-galactic travel.
The dotting process itself is relatively smooth, though some sensitive individuals may experience discomfort similar to motion sickness and weightlessness. Low level dotting can be done via leverage from a skyhook or space-elevator, while high level dotting/long distances need the assistance of a dotting terminal.
Similar to the “airports” of earth, spaceports are synthetic checkpoints that orbit the planets of the EC. Most civilizations of the EC have a spaceport orbiting the planet, consisting of a parking garage, small mall area, security, and a shuttle system down to the planet.
Smaller civilizations and newer planets do not have a spaceport, making travel to these locations much more difficult.
Because planets are constantly moving, the Lanesse created “tracking” devices that were placed on each planet of the Eganian Confederation. All ships are equipped with a device that picks up these signals. There are knobs on the ship’s receiver (the part that receives the signals) that one turns to tune the “frequency”. Every planet’s lighthouse (the part that emits the frequencies) has a different tuning.
Commonly used frequencies:
Egania - 1521
Lekon - 605
Dakna - 1097
Granila - 9626
Naava - 344
Baktle - 8910
Hiwan - 81
Tinalua - 10761
Since lighthouses are huge, they were just easier to secure on/in the planet.
(There’s also a rumor that an orbiting lighthouse was crushed by one of the planet’s moons.)
Spaceport - general sketches
Each planet has a space tether, and the more inhabitated planets have space elevators situated in large cities.
Space tethers are ropes on a weight that swings around the planet. They are not as widely used as there are usually around 50 per planet and are generally used for far travels. Ships latch on to the end of the rope as it swings by and are launched in a particular direction at extreme speeds. Tethers save fuel for the ships and are a convenient way of traveling long distances.
A retractable elevator that connects to a planet’s spaceport. It is made of bendable yet strong materials and is the safest method of transportation to and from the spaceports. More common on heavily populated planets with regular travel.

The most un-reviewed parts of this section, please take with a grain of salt...
A meeting of the representatives of the EC that happens twice a year. Most of the time, members will assemble more than the required minimum due to new propositions and ideas. The meeting place shifts around regularly. Members of the council are notified a month prior to the meeting, and Galaetus can take up to a month (ga) due to debates and disagreements.
The exact time and location is left ambiguous to all involved except for a select few that guide the participants to the meeting hall. Galaetus takes place in various locations within the EC, generally in safer and secure buildings.
The choosing of representatives are left up to individual governments. Each planet is encouraged to send two or more reps depending on the size of the population.
Current Divisions:
Baktle - 2
Egania - 4
Dakna - 1
Granil - 3
Terra - 4
Lekon - 2
Naava - 2
Hiwan - 0
Orase - 0
Tinalua - 0
Although attendance is not mandatory, it is highly recommended.
Representatives in each Galaetus may propose policies, which are then voted on by the Galaetus council. Upon a ⅔ vote, the policy would become a loose agreement that all planets within the EC must follow. Such policies tend to be non-restrictive and loose. Upon a request to abolish a policy, a similar vote must be held, with ⅔ in favor of abolishment.
The Galaetus council has the power to determine the following:
Determine loose agreements
Provide aid in times of need to other planets
Regulate trade/interplanetary law
The EC has no central military force, as the confederation is only a loose binding of nearby planets. In case of outside threats, all planets are requested to send as much military force as necessary.
Instead of “dollars” or “euros”, the galactic money currency is called “kaxe” (plural or singular). Kaxe is a digital currency, which can easily be converted to any other money currency of the world. 1 kaxe = 10 cents, 10 kaxe = $1
Money is exchanged and traded when two groups send a check-like notice called “trades” to the bank from their mobile devices. They soon get a notice that the money has been deposited or withdrawn from their digital account.
Although the “bank” supervises the trades and interactions of individuals, it has no right to take money out of the person’s account to use for its own cause. All money in an individual’s account is theirs alone, and is only transferred after a “trade” is sent in from both the giving and receiving ends.
The bank does have a few physical locations, with one being in every majorly populated city. At the physical locations, one can trade in money for physical amounts of other currencies. Changing money currencies can also be done on spaceports located in the orbit of each planet. The digital bank, which is more widely used, mainly consists of AIs that monitor the trade interactions.
All people have a small chip embedded on the inside of their left wrist. The chip itself is about the size of a fingernail, bendable, and blends in almost perfectly with the wrist. It is placed there soon after birth, making it near impossible to remove. The chip does the following:
ID, each is programmed with the person’s information: name, planet of birth, birthday, race (and race ranking), etc.
Location, it tracks the location of the individual, which is available to see in the control towers of Egania and Lekon.
A common surgery that is performed on the neck area to install an opening for air tank insertion. Once a tube is inserted into the left side of the neck, a thin screen is drawn closed in the upper neck. The screen serves as a filter, letting air out of the lungs but does not let any new air in through the mouth. Once the person breathes in, air is instead drawn from the tank that is connected to the neck.
CTIs are commonly used in foreign environments with nontoxic and unbreathable air. The tanks containing breathable air are worn on the body, usually in the form of a backpack.
