I'm sorry.
Baktle is tidally locked with its star, meaning that it does not rotate and does not have a day/night cycle like most inhabited planets. This results in a permanently hot and cold side of the planet, both sides reaching too extreme temperatures to support most forms of life. The people live along the terminal line in between the hot and cold side along rivers and lakes.
Hot side
The hot side of the super-earth is covered in volcanic activity, giving most of the deserts in the zone a grey/black color. The hottest areas have a healthy amount of lava and smoke that kills anything near it. Extremely little life here, though the occasional tree corpse (dead trees, if you will,) can be spotted near the edge of the uninhabitable areas.
People who live on this edge of the terminal line have developed a high heat tolerance and generally have darker skin tones.
Cold side
The cold side is also mostly covered in deserts and traces of water can be detected. A large majority of the "sand" is in fact ice, giving the cold desert a white-ish glow from the starlight above. This area, unlike the hot side, has potential to harbor some forms of life. There are many frozen lakes and icy underground chambers.
The people on this side of the terminal line have a high cold tolerance and generally have paler skin. (Mythia comes from this side.)
Terminal line
A zone in between the day and night/hot and cold sides. There exists a valley and a river (Certa) that stretches along this zone, all the way around the planet. The Balek usually build their cities here, where the temperature is not too extreme. There is still a slight seasonal cycle due to the slightly uneven orbit of the planet.
A massive river that flows along the terminal line. Supports most life on the planet and civilization is only possible along its edges. Referred to as North, North East, East, South East, South, South West, West, and North West depending on positioning from the star.
Location relative to terminal line/Certa determined on a scale from -5 to 5, with -5 being the closest point to Baktle's star (hot) and 5 the furthest (cold).
Capital city of Baktle, located in zone 1 (cold side). Most of the city is a business district while residential zones are scarce.
5 km from terminal line
A small village in zone 3, far from the Central Sea. Due to its positioning, it is decently cold year-round. Most inhabitants are pale and live in tighter buildings to help regulate heat. Mythia and Yashiya's hometown.
10 km from terminal line
A popular tourist town of Baktle. Because it is on the terminal line, the weather is considered to be one of the best of the planet. A floating city docked in the Northwest Central Sea. Zone 0
0 km from terminal line
A densely populated settlement along the Southwestern floodplains. Zone -1
2 km from terminal line
Larger of the two moons, a silvery color. Slightly larger than Luna (Earth's moon). Said to be the older sister of Sausu.
Smaller of the two moons, a rusty color. Slightly larger than Luna (Earth's moon). Said to be the younger brother of the sister moon, Celia
Most buildings are constructed of rocks/soil/cement to help regulate the temperature. Buildings generally have various engineering features to keep the space comfortable with minimum heating or cooling technology.
Hotter areas generally have either extremely low lying buildings or taller buildings with lots of ventilation and chimneys/skylights.
Colder areas have smaller buildings with lower ceilings and are elevated off the ground. They tend to have lots of insulation.
Launching platforms (alternately called Landing Platforms/Platforms) have been installed near cities to assist with the landing and launching of spaceships due to the strong gravity of the planet. These platforms are essential for space travel and it is close to impossible to safely land a ship on Baktle without one.
