Smilers are dangerous and highly intelligent entities that thrive in darkness and fear light.

II - Biology

A Smiler's body is completely anamorphous except for it's eyes, teeth, and brain. Its body almost seems to be made of shadows, being pitch-black and warped. A Smiler can easily change its body to adapt to its surroundings such as to fit in tight spaces or to cover more land when running among other things. As stated earlier, its eyes, teeth, and brain are not anamorphous, however only one Smiler has had its brain removed from its body (a freak case where a human actually managed to outsmart a Smiler and stab it in the head with a knife and remove its brain). Its brain's coloring is strange when compared to the rest of a Smiler's body, as it is a shade of bright white. A Smiler's teeth are strange because it has a small mouth cavity behind its set of white teeth but the mouth cavity leads nowhere as a Smiler has no stomach and does not require food, water, or even air. A Smiler's eyes look eerily similar to a humans if a humans eyes were completely composed of the sclera.

III - Behavior

A Smiler is quite the odd entity as despite being the first entity discovered, it is one of few that does  not require anything a living creature would require but it still is very hostile towards humans and almost seems to kill humans out of a twisted sort of pleasure and glee. Also a Smiler does not consume the humans it kills, rather it destroys their bodies as much as possible and leaves these corpses in a pool of fresh blood ready for anyone to see much to other humans' horror. 

Other than the above information no further information is known about this entity due to how dangerous it is, how intelligent it is, and how unpredictable it is.
