Mrs. Norise vs. Mrs. Beavers shaping up to be the biggest Fight Night matchup ever

As the hype for Mount Carmel Fight Night builds with all competitors currently in training, two faculty members have decided to participate this year. Chemistry teacher Mrs. Emma Norise and Spanish teacher Mrs. Valerie Beavers have decided to settle an old grudge in the ring. The build up to their fight has included old stories of disagreement between the two and a surprising amount of trash talk from both parties.

Most people started noticing the beef when Mrs. Norise called out Mrs. Beavers for writing up one of her wonderful angels who could never do anything wrong like vaping in the bathrooms.

“You can’t do that,” yelled Mrs. Norise one morning, “my little angel would never do something like that,”

However it turns out that there has been conflict between the two throughout their entire duration at Mount Carmel.

“The two of them have always been competing to be the nicest teacher, and with Mrs. Norise in the lead recently something was bound to happen,” said Mr. Scott Tabernacki, principal of the school.

There have been many confrontations between the two in the past, including Mrs. Beavers taking Mrs. Norise’s parking spot several times and not holding the door open for her when entering the building. There is also a surprising amount of trash talk between the two teachers.

“I'm going to knock her out like Jake Paul knocked out Tyron Woodly,” said Mrs. Beavers when sophomore Jake Cozzie asked whether she thought she could win or not. "I'm the next Mike Tyson."

Norise is still in this, though, and has reportedly been going to private boxing training and has had several sparring matches with Mount Carmel students. She even roughed up both Asher Tomaszewski and Matthew Mucha in brutal fashion during an after-school training session.

“I swear she must have broken my nose,” said Mucha while holding a bloody tissue to his heavily bruised nose. "I was bleeding so much."

“It sucks to get beaten up by someone who apologizes after every hit,” said Tomaszewski, nearly brought to tears.

Beavers hasn't been slacking in the training department either and has had sparring matches with other MC staff. She even managed to destroy former MMA star and English teacher Mr. Tim Baffoe.

“If I was allowed leg kicks I definitely would have won,” said Baffoe.

Mrs. Beavers has even taken it a step further, joining the football team for Caravan Tough workouts in the mornings before school so she can get some extra strength work in.

“I was just finishing up a max squat and she told me to just leave the weight on for her first set,” said junior Ryan Gilhooly looking disappointed in himself.

With these two very impressive boxers set to clash on Fight Night this year it will definitely be the biggest Fight Night match involving a faculty member since the school brought in a Russian circus bear to fight Mr. Antonietti in 2003. There has even been a talk that regardless of outcome a rematch should happen in 2024. Needless to say neither teacher is willing to let the beef settle, and it will definitely prove an entertaining time for the rest of Mount Carmel.

Both fighters sport warm smiles that mask the brawler beneath.
