The Jurist Blog aims to create a platform where there is a constant flow of ideas regarding issues related to law and policy. The purpose of this blog is bridge the gap between the opinion of a law student and the analysis of a legal professional. The Jurist Blog posts are shared widely and often get more attention than academic journals. We believe each and every individual should have opportunity to express his/her thoughts. Articles on this blog are published free of cost. We shall be providing a certificate for each contribution. The quality of each article is assessed by an Editorial Board Member. The Editorial Board consists of practising lawyers of Supreme Court, legal professionals and students from premier academic institutions across India. The aim of the editorial process is to establish the technical soundness of each submission. We hope that The Jurist will encourage law students, professionals, teachers and policy makers to involve in critical thinking about the existing legal system and enrich them with better ideas of legal principles.
Professionals from different walks of life came together to create The Jurist- a platform to voice the concerns of the people. This entirely professionally driven non-profit blog seeks to publish articles that are well researched, original, and contribute to legal reform. The founder of The Jurist aims to contribute all earnings from this blog to NGOs that specialize in children’s rights, women’s rights, legal aid, animal rights, etc. The founder will choose one NGO per year and contribute to social causes they believe in. The Jurist Blog therefore, serves as-
a) a platform for students and citizens of the country to voice their concerns- legal or social, and
b) a financial stream of revenue to those who aren’t privileged enough to voice their concerns via blogs.
We aspire to make a difference, and we hope to have you on this journey with us!
Our blog features crisp and contemporaneous pieces of shorter length, authored by reputed legal professionals and students of law from across the globe.
