Forcebound development is currently experimenting with a class system that may serve as an alternative to the talent points system for game balancing. As of the writing of this gameplay guide, the experimental class system has only been implemented on Korriban. Rather than a talent point menu, players are presented with a list of classes that will determine the tier of weaponry and abilities accessible to the player. Players are then permitted to select one special buff in relation to their class. The class selection page will appear as follows:
The class options presented to each player will vary based on the faction that the player selected upon joining the game. The class will then present the tier of tools accessible from each of the five loadout categories, as well as all tools from those categories. The example image presents some of the class options for the First Order faction.
After the selection of a class, players will then be prompted to select a special buff for their gameplay. The image to the left presents an example of that screen, and the possible buffs that currently exist on Korriban for players to choose from.
