We are so very pleased by the Contemporary Master Class we hosted for dancers and members of TFDE this spring! Ms. Bowman was an incredible teacher and the girls worked so very hard. After an intense warmup infused with words of wisdom, the girls worked on a beautiful contemporary combination, and closed with a structured improvisation session. All of the attendees were from RRISD and ranged from 9-12 grade and representing 3 dance programs. They left excited, tired, and inspired! A huge thank you to our host Meghan Bowman for the wonderful class and use of your studio! We look forward to the next TFDE Event!!

Meghan has performed in several industrials for Taco Bueno and Galderma, and was lead dancer and assistant choreographer of Urban Dance and Cheer, an instructional hip hop DVD. Radio Disney star, Jer-Z, hand-picked Meghan to be one of her back-up dancers. In 2004, she was cast as Frenchy in a production of Grease in Dallas. Meghan also got to perform in New York with Break the Floor Productions and was chosen to perform in the entry into the Fringe Festival. Upon moving to Austin, she began performing with Ballet East Dance Company and working for their outreach program. She has been a guest performer in the Butler Community School’s performances of Holiday Road and Broadway in May, and was cast to dance in the production of Imagine Christmas at Gateway Community Church in Austin. In 2011, Meghan choreographed for and performed in the movie Rebellious Children of the Unconscious. Meghan has taught master classes from Toronto, Canada to Laredo, TX, and currently she owns and operates her own professional dance company and dance studio, TRU dance Project. Just last year, Meghan produced and directed two of her own shows, A Walk in My Shoes and Imperfect Sentiments, both performances opened in 2013 at The Off-Center in East Austin.
