Here are some 2D work I have done. During my years at rubika and before I have done a lot of work in 2D. From digital painting to regular painting and a lot of pen work. I have decided that this wasn't my passion though, therefore here is some of the work but not all of it. If you would like to see more, send me a message :)
Here is my first attempt of making a proper document for an artistic direction. I made this in two days. I had to make it about a child and there had to be his bedroom. Enjoy the little story of an orca boy and my research drawings.
I was comissioned this map for a novel. It was done in a bit less than a month.
Inspired by the game No Man's sky, I created a digital painting like if it was part of the game. This took me 2 weeks to make where I worked quite a lot on it. There is a whole book about the process and choice of the elements I made too.
Here is a digital painting done in a water colour style, representing a country I love called Oman.
I challenged myself to see how much of a drawing I could replicate in 2 hours. There is no colour dipping for these speed paints.
Here is a character I did in the middle of my second year. Character design is not my strong point so this was a bit of a challenge. I have done other characters but I dont enjoy it too much. If you want I can show others :)
In one semester of the first year a group of Game Designers and Game artists (me included) have to create a pixel art platformer. Here are some visuals I worked on. all of these were created using aseprite. The game itself was chaotic to make and it taught the team a lot of valuable lessons on how to communicate and work together. It took us a lot of time to make it but we were not very proud of the end product of it. I like pixel art still so I decided to show some of the things I worked on to give you an idea of the pixel art I did and that we learnt. On this project I did spend the last month fully on VFX though.
