Zombie Mermaid

I often follow artistic trends on social media, not only do they give me an artistic challenge, but they are enjoyed by the community and allows them to find new artist they might not have seen otherwise.

This art piece was made during the MerMay challenge of 2023, in which artists are challenged to draw a themed mermaid each and everyday for the month of May. 

For the 27th day, I had the theme of 'Zombie' and while the challenge of a zombie mermaid was interesting, I further challenged myself by switching up my art style on this piece. A continual thick outline counteracted with coloured interior linework and a smoother colour palette.
