I created this poster as a marketing method for potential audiences to learn about and gain interest in my then upcoming webcomic series "I was blamed for the destruction of Erectus".
The poster was inspired by various movie posters from the 90s and 00s as I felt that those were the best style especially when compared to modern posters. The poster was posted to various social media with moderate success with my then follower count.
As the title of the series is indicative of the main plot points and certain occurring events, the visuals could be more playful and symbolic rather than informative. The background included destroyed and smoking buildings and a group of angry humanoids, implying the awful invent as told by the title. The foreground has the protagonist on their knees, showing that the character is emotional informing the audience that the story will follow this being who feels for the apparent terror they've caused.
Above the previous information and the title, looms a mysterious hooded figure, hinting at the mysterious cult that will be at the heart of the mystery. A nearby orbiting planet and a flying ship in front of a space back drop informs the readier of the science fiction genre of the series.
