During this session the topic will be introduced to students, the main objectives of the project and how it will be carried out. It is very important for students to know why they are doing what they do and for who (audience), that keeps them motivated throughout the project.

Later on they will start working on their presentation. They will create an online poster with which they will introduce themselves to their new project penpals. They will be provided with examples and scaffolding and guidelines to help them build up their knowledge.

Finally, once the posters are done they will share them with the teacher who will post them on the Project blog which children can access and go through the work of all the other students.
