Is there enough content to be represented for each grade level?
The range of videos are tailored to the content that they teach and the grade level that they will be appropriate for. For example, if a teacher decided to explore the content available for their kindergarten classroom, there are currently eight videos available that are appropriate for kindergarten use. Some of the videos can be used for other grade levels, but are also identified to be used with more than one grade. It is also important to know that the content is broken into down mostly into the social studies and science curriculums. The platform continues to develop video each week, but one will need to stay informed on what they are through the companies Facebook page.
How long do the videos last?
Each video has their own length of time. The shortest length of time for a video starts at six minutes and the longest video can last as long as thirty-seven minutes. *Please note: know the length of time your stduents can sit and watch a video before buying the video. Also preview the content to make sure that it is appropriate for viewing to the classroom.*
Do I have to use the resources available to me with the video?
No, the resources available to you on the platform do no have to be used. They are just a suggestion that the platform created to go along with the videos. Please feel free to use any resources that you already have or found in place of what is on the website. *Please note: none of the resources can be explored unless if you buy a video or a membership. They can be seen in picture form under the videos, but cannot be opened, downloaded, or used without purchasing.*
Are the videos aligned with any kind of standards for my grade level? For my state?
All videos are state standard aligned. This goes for each state as well. If a teacher would like to know which standards follow which grade level and state, they can simply click on the standards tab at the top of the toolbar on the website homepage and click on the grade level and state from there. The document will be opened and can be saved and/or printed if needed.
