Can I upgrade my membership at anytime once the free trial is over?
Of course! At any time during your free 14 day trial, you may upgrade your account. By doing so, you have access to more features and tools to help bring the presentations to life. These upgrades are included in all three platforms that Prezi has to offer. A valid credit card will need to be used to continue with the membership once the 14 day trial as completed.
What will happen to all the presentations created on the platform once the free trial has ended?
All of the presentations that were created on the platforms will still be accessible. Once the 14 day free trial has ended, if membership has been upgraded, you will not be able to change any information on the presentations. You will still be able to access your account and view your presentations, but they cannot be altered. This carries over to all three platforms and any content that was created within those 14 days.
At what grade level do you recommend each platform to be used?
That is an excellent question. After doing research and using each individual platform, here is my recommendation for the grade levels. Each platform can be used in a kindergarten through twelve grade classroom through teacher use. This is just run by the teacher and the teacher only. Students are not involved in the creation process and have no input into the presentations. Looking at Prezi Video, the platform could be used with kindergarten through twelve grade. Students at a very young age can learn how to open an app, hit a record button, and create a video. This will teach them digital responsibility and be able to be proud of creating something unique to themselves. Continuing on in the different grades, more tools and tricks can be introduced with the videos so that students can become well versed with video recording and/or learning to use this platform for a presentation in front of other peers. When exploring Prezi Design, this platform could be used for fourth grade and higher. Again, students will need to build upon their digital experiences to be able to research information, build a template, and combine all of the information together. At this age, students are doing multiple projects that they have to research and collect information to gather into one location. This is a great platform to teach to them on how to build a presentation using these different techniques in the classroom. Prezi Present could be used with fourth grade and higher also. This is because when the design aspect of a presentation is over, students can then use the present platform to show their work off to other peers on what they have learned and what they have gained throughout the lesson. *Please note: these are just my suggestions on which grades can successfully use the platforms based on age and experience. I am not saying if your students are more than ready to be introduced to a platform, please feel free to do so, but explore the platform first and know your students strengths/weakness.*
Do I need to have an account on a different platform in order to connect them? For example, do I need to have created a Google account in order to link it with Prezi?
Prezi can be linked and used with many different platforms in the classroom. The short answer is yes, you will need an account for each one that your trying to link with Prezi. Many of the pairable accounts have free options that can be used without buying a membership plan. Explore the different platforms and membership options before choosing the right one for you. Also, if there is a platform that you would like to use when linking your Prezi account, it is very simple to create an account for other platforms. If I feel that my students are too young to use this platform, can I as an educator use it myself for curriculum integration?
Absolutely! As previously stated, while these platforms can be used with students from grades kindergarten through twelve grade, that doesn't mean that the platforms have to surely used by students. Educators can create beautiful content that can enrich their curriculum just by the simple click of a creation. Each platform can be used in tandum with each other or seperatly depending on what you are trying to achieve at the time. With each membership, you have access to all three platforms. Same if you choose to trial Prezi for 14 days, you will have access to all three program designs and uses, just not all the benefits.
