This online platform helps educators to enrich their students lives by taking virtual field trips. Teachers use videos to enhance student learning by taking them through a new platform that will help students to "explore the world without leaving their classroom" (Virtualfieldtrips, n.d.). Virtual Field Trips use educator created content to be shared with other educators to meet with national and state standards.
Each video can be categorized in 6 different curriculum category (Social Studies, Geography, Science, Ancient Civilization, Language, and Expedition) as well as organized by grade level. Teachers also have the option to engage with interactive activities, worksheets, and quizzes that match along with the video.
If a teacher joins the platforms Facebook group, they will be notified of new videos that are being created weekly for classroom use.
This website provides video content for students from grades kindegarten to ninth grade. The content of the videos ranges in topics (see listing above) and can be see in closed captioning for students who need that support in the classroom. Some of the videos are also created to be viewed in foreign languages (French and Spanish).
