Agriculture is the main stay and major contributor to India's GDP. Now, the scope of technological contribution is vast from Farm-to-Plate. In this talk on 'IoT for Agriculture', I spoke about the various avenues for students to contribute in agriculture and benefit the farming community. There are tonnes of companies and startups now.
I got to speak on a topic close to my heart and a part of my PhD work at IISc - "Sensors for Agro-IoT and Home Automation ". This talk showcased the various sensors and sensor interfaces which enable technology to impact in Agriculture and Automation.
I spoke about the opportunities of self reliance in our technological solutions for socially relevant problems. The opportunity for the academic projects to become reality in the society. A time where students can solve real world problems and make an impact.
At the end of the talk, I got an interesting business idea which has the potential to be a startup. Interested people can get in touch with me. We can collaborate and partner together.
