Summary:
This training will provide a basic about Siemens control on a WFL Machine.

Summary:
This training will provide a basic about Siemens control on a WFL Machine.
Topics:
a) Machine coordinate system
b) Work piece coordinate system
c) Axis X1, Y1, Z1, C1, B1
d) Structure and contents of an NC program
e) Language elements of the Siemens programming language
f) Absolute and incremental values
g) G-codes and M-Codes
h) Metric/imperial dimensions, G70/G71/G700/G710
i) Linear and circular interpolation G0/G1/G2/G3
j) Tool geometry Tool management
k) Tool change cycle
l) Make Sample Programs
Objective:
After the training, participants can do a simple Program for a WFL MILLTURN.
Participants:
Programmers with no Programming skills on Siemens control or only basics of NC technology.

Basic Operator training for WFL - Millturn with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
After this training is the Operator able to handle the machine with all standard functions including standard measuring with the touch probe.
Topics:
a) Procedure for switching the machine on (open close all doors and the chuck, start the tool loader, cancel all alarms, and reference all axis)
b) Operate all axis manually in Jog with key and with the hand wheel
c) Operate the chuck ,steady and tailstock manually
d) Start a Program after shift change or after an alarm in any position
e) Stop and start the Program, overstore the Program
f) Clamp the work piece with Chuck Steady and Tailstock
g) Interpret the alarm message record it and cancel it
h) Assemble used tools measure it and replace it in the machine
i) Load and remove tools from the machine
j) Check the first movement of a adjusted tool by single block in the first moves
k) Reactivate the tools in the tool management
l) Release axis of the tool loader and remove the tools from the gripper.
m) Check and refill the coolant and the oils
Objective:
After the training, participants can operate a WFL MILLTURN and machine simple and medium complexity parts.
Participants:
Machine operators with good operating skills (basics of NC technology).
Also for Programmers which are looking for more knowledge about machining.

Basic Programmer training for WFL - Millturn with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This training allows the Programmer to create programs manual for the machine with all standard functions and tool management including standard measuring with the touch probe.
Topics:
a) Zero – offsets
b) Technological functions
c) Tool compensations
d) Parameters and calculations
e) M and G functions
f) Tool change
g) WFL Standard cycles
h) Measuring with the Renishaw work piece probe and standard cycles
i) Tailstock and Steady movement
j) Short sample programs
Objective:
After the course, participants can create NC program codes of simple and medium complexity parts, too machine it on a WFL MILLTURN.
Participants:
NC programmers and technicians with good programming skills (basics of NC technology).
Operators with experience on WFL Machines.
Duration:

Intermediate Operator training for WFL machines with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This training gives the Operator a good knowledge about the WFL Millturn concept, including measuring with the touch probe.
Topics:
a) Measuring with the probe
b) Calibration
c) Measuring a diameter outside and Inside
d) Use a Measuring result to correct the tool wear
e) Measuring a length and a position
f) Use sister tools
g) Use the REPOS - function for repositioning a tool after an Insert broke
h) Make a simple program with the Editor and save it
i) Make a program for a hole pattern
j) Save and record data from the machine
Objective:
After the course, participants are able to create NC program codes with the Editor at the Machine. They are also able to handle more complexity parts, too machine it on a WFL MILLTURN.

Operators with experience on a WFL-Millturn. Also for Programmers which are looking for more knowledge about machining.

Intermediate Programmer training for WFL machines with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This training contains standard functions and special used Siemens functions on WFL machines.
Topics:
a) Advanced measuring cycles
b) Save cutting and Idle Time for each operation
c) Program loops by repeating a sequence.
d) Rotate coordinate systems in the NC program
e) Move the offset in the rotated coordinate system
f) Use sister tools
g) Milling on a cylindrical surface
h) Use special functions to have the right feed on a cylindrical surface
i) Milling a Pin or an eccentric cylinder
j) Save and record data from the machine
Objective:
The Programmers are able to create programs in a tilted coordinate system without using a postprocessor. They will also know how to use the Probe in a more effective way.
Participants:
NC programmers and technicians with good programming skills and experience with WFL Machines. Operators with good experience on a WFL-Millturn and programming skills.

Advanced Operator training for WFL machines with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
With this training the Operator get more knowledge about programming medium complexity parts with the Editor at the WFL Millturn.
Topics:
a) Measuring with the probe
b) Use a Measuring result to correct a position of a hole
c) Measure a finished piece and Print a measuring protocol
d) Make a program for a hole pattern
e) Milling on a cylindrical surface
f) Use special functions to have the right feed on a cylindrical surface
g) Using transmit function for milling a contour on a face/flange
h) Milling a Pin or an eccentric cylinder
Objective:
After the course, participants are able to create medium complexity NC program codes with the Editor at the Machine. They are also able to edit more complexity parts direct at the WFL MILLTURN.
Participants:
Operators with good experience on a WFL-Millturn. Also for Programmers which are looking for more knowledge about handling this machine.

Advanced Programmer training for WFL machines with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This training will show how to use Parameters and create customized cycles. Also it will show how to create a loop or repeat a sequence on different positions of the Work piece.
Topics:
a) Make a small cycle for a hole pattern
b) Make a special drilling cycle
c) Create customized Parameters
d) Program with parameters and calculation in the NC-program
e) Use of Labels in the program
f) Repeat a Sequence on different Positions in the WKS
g) Create a loop in the NC Program
h) Use Siemens Programming language
Objective:
After the course, participants are able to create NC programs with loops and parameter calculation. The Programmers are also able to create programs in a tilted coordinate system without using a post processor. They will also know how to write small customized cycles.
Participants:
NC programmers and technicians with good programming skills and experience with WFL Machines. Operators with good experience on a WFL-Millturn and programming skills.
