Summary:
With this training the Operator is able to program medium complexity parts with canned cycles at the Editor on the WFL Millturn.

Summary:
With this training the Programmer is able to program medium complexity parts with canned cycles with a standard Editor on any computer.
Topics:

Objective:

Measuring in the Machine for Operators of Siemens 840C / 840D control
(in process measuring)
Summary:
With this training the Operator will learn to use the Probe in effective ways. He is also able to check and prove measuring programs and interpret the results and parameters.
Topics:
a) Calibration and calibration on different Diameters
b) Maintain the probe, change batteries
c) Measure in MDA
d) Measure in Auto mode
e) Create a measuring program with canned cycles
f) Use Calculation inside the program
g) Print a measuring protocol
h) Use of empirical values
i) Check a new measuring program
j) Check parameters for measuring
k) Find errors in a measuring sequence
Objective:
After this training participants can operate the probe and measure parts inside the machine with the canned menus from the control.

Programming with CIMCO Editor for Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This special designed training for CIMCO users will show how to use CIMCO to program a WFL Millturn machine. The CIMCO Editor has capabilities to create a toolpath like a CAM software.

a) CIMCO Edit
b) Line numbering / renumbering
c) File compare / Compare two programs
d) record or create custom cycles and macros for most common operations
e) CNC Calculation – create a tool path
f) 3D Mill / 2D Lathe back plotter
g) Solid visualization of NC code
h) Import a DXF geometry
Objective:
With CIMCO it will be very easy to create a Program for WFL machine at a standard PC.
Participants:

c) MITAP – milling of cylindrical and conical threads

g) MIGEAR – Gear hobbing
h) MIGSLOT – Gear shaping
i) TURNB1ON – Turning with swivelling B-Axis
j) MILL5AON – Five axis transformation
k) MIWEB – Milling a Pin or Journal
l) MCUTNO - Tool breakage and collision monitoring
m) MCFOPTON MCSOPTON – Adaptiv control

Advanced measuring in the machine with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
This special designed training about Probing will show the complexity of probing inside the machining process. It will show also how to setup a work piece and find features on the work piece.
Topics:
a) Measuring a set of points and calculate in the NC-Program
b) Use standard measuring Cycle package from WFL
c) Use extended measuring Cycle package from WFL
d) Find the offset G54 – G57 on a blank with the probe in auto mode
e) Probing a surface in MDI and Auto
f) Testing features on the work piece and process the result
g) Do a final measurement before the work peace come out
h) Stop the machine in case a measurement is out of tolerance
i) Print a measuring protocol
Objective:
After this training participants can create sequences for the probe and measure parts inside the machine during machining process. They will be able to setup the work piece offset with the probe and do a final measurement before the part comes out of the machine.
Participants:
NC programmers and technicians with good programming skills and experience with WFL Machines. Operators with good experience on a WFL-Millturn and programming skills.
Note:
It is possible that not all options are available on each machine. It is not possible to train al options in one week (40 hours)

Basic Maintenance training for Operators with Siemens 840C / 840D control
Summary:
With this training the Operator will learn how to maintain the WFL machine daily. They will also learn how to check the Geometry and interpret alarms to give a good feedback to the maintenance group about the actual situation.

a) Grease and Oil levels
b) Daily maintenance
c) Weekly maintenance
d) Monthly maintenance
e) Adjust Steady rest
f) Adjust Tailstock
g) Learn the actual position for the steady rest and tailstock
h) Check parallelism of X1, Y1, Z1, B1
i) Check perpendicularity X1, Y1, Z1, B1
j) Check Head stock
k) Check machine zero
Objective:
After this training participants have more knowledge about the Millturn machine. They will know how to find errors and how to check it. They will understand the relationship between geometry and contour errors.
Participants:
Operators with good experience on a WFL-Millturn. Also for maintenance people which are looking for refreshment on this machine.
Note:
TECAS does not offer a service for repairing the machines. If something is broken on your machine or if you want to put a used machine into operation, I will refer you to WFL in Linz.
