(Interactive play area)
The world of computers is connecting us to a brighter tomorrow, and this interactive area helps show the way! Fun games, wondrous tech demonstrations, and even a trivia-posing robot all offer a fun way to gain some hands-on experience with these new technologies.
(Floor design)
This large room features similar clean white walls like the queue for The Compu-Tour. However, the floor is an emerald green with a whole network of golden circuit trails running along the ground. The circuit trails are not random in their design, though. These paths help lead guests to the various exhibits through the Cyber Showcase, as if connecting them along a circuit board. Beyond that, posters discussing new computer developments (such as those developed by Texas Instruments) are also featured on the walls.
Located in the center of the Cyber Showcase is MARIA (Memory And Recognition Intelligence Assistant), a charming robot who is eager to help share in knowledge thanks to her database of facts. Using voice recognition technology, you’ll have the chance to answer MARIA’s trivia questions and see just what this robot knows.
Learn how to use a mouse by navigating your cursor through a fun maze game, getting a feel for this direct computer interaction.
With two booths situated at opposite ends of the Cyber Showcase, you can have a futuristic face-to-face chat via the wonders of telecommunications!
Match up some famous faces with their proper names, using touch screen technology to directly interface with this program.
Learn the digital language known as binary coding, using a handy reference guide to decode some simple words.
Demonstrating the impressive power of speech chips as developed by Texas Instruments, this display gives you the chance to type in a message on a computer…and hear the computer say it back!
Discover the wonder in digital art, when you use this touch screen to paint and draw to your heart’s delight!
Use your mouse cursor to drag and drop the correct pieces onto a circuit board, so that an electrical connection can follow the path and reach its necessary destination!
This touch screen database offers a “world of information” when you select a country from its map, learning neat trivia and even seeing the local time for that area.
