20th Century Studios Dubai
Welcome to 20th Century Studios, the latest theme park offering in Dubai. To stand out in this heavily-populated market, this park does things differently from its competitors. 20th Century Studios Dubai represents classic movies and TV shows in an immersive new park. The park is the first park to be designed by Walt Disney Imagineering without Disney Parks branding, and WDI brings innovative experiences and attractions to the park that add a touch of Disney magic lacking in the competing parks.
The park is divided into four massive lands. These large lands stand out from the smaller lands of competing local parks. Each land is themed to a location from around the world, and each incorporates various 20th Century Studios IPs integrated into unique restaurants, attractions, and more. One of these lands is The Big Apple, a land themed to New York City.
Due to the climate challenges for a theme park in the area, the entire park is covered and indoors. In order to maintain the illusion of scale in The Big Apple, the land takes place at night, a decision that fits well with the theming of many attractions and makes it easier to disguise the ceiling.
The large area encompassed by The Big Apple requires subland organization. Thus, the land is split into three distinct sublands: Classic New York, Modern New York, and Future New York. As guests enter the land, they find themselves in Classic New York. Venturing further into the land, guests go forward in time. From the glorified 18- and early 1900s of Classic New York, through the 1990s-2010s of Modern New York, to the amazing Future New York decades into the future, The Big Apple has something for everyone.
