Ventspils welcomed us to the third transnational meeting. First, the guests welcomed us on 25. 11 with a short introduction about Ventspils and its university. Then we were given a short overview of the project and what has already been done. All countries agreed on adding a few extra changes to the handbook and a task was given to assess the impact of the project so far on each institution.
Later, the hosts took us to a wonderful walk in the clean streets of Ventspils to show us a creative bread laboratory in the centre called Ramala (Radošā Maizes Laboratorija). After everyone had shared their love for each loaf, we had a light lunch on the premises.
With warm bread in hand we returned to the university and one of the students took the group on a university tour with short stories about the iconic classrooms or sights. After the tour some important IO2 questions were discussed, including the dissemination of the project as well as the initial thoughts about IO3.
In the evening all project participants gathered to have a nice dinner in a restaurant and a nice stroll in town.
Day 2 on 26.11 welcomed us with an in-depth discussion about IO3 and future plans. Our group of international teachers decided to form language groups to make example lessons and gather the teachers of the appropriate language and the ones interested in these languages into one group. Different other apps that complement the learning environments were suggested.
We suggested that the following points need to be chosen for each group:
language (open);
topic (food, hobbies, jobs, weather, travelling);
level (basic level A1-A2);
learning environment (all environments should be covered).
Initial thoughts on how the recording process would take place were discussed and arranged along with the future thoughts on Polish meeting.
In the evening we continued with a cultural programme in the planetarium with an overview of the violent Earth. After getting acquainted with Ventspils Creative Centre where the planetarium is located, and a short stroll through the Old Town we visited Ventspils Concert House to enjoy the symphony "Tree Life". After the concert we said goodbyes to our hosts.
