Curriculum for the ONLINE Training

The Curriculum for an online training was compiled during the preparation for the online training of our project (held online in January 2021) and the online course in the project end result: platform for foreign language teachers.

The Curriculum includes the objective and content of the training, the methods of the training and preparing teaching materials. The realisation of the curriculum was our project online training and the web platform.

Online course https://teachersinthedistance.eu is designed for language teachers and lecturers, and those interested in the idea of lifelong learning and self-development in the field of languages.

Online course is divided into 5 steps:

In step1 the visitor will be able to find information regarding the methodology for distant online language teaching, including guidelines on how to teach languages online.

Step 2 is highlighting similarities and differences between teaching online and face-to-face lessons, and the way the four skills and systems are taught.

Step 3 contains information about online safety issues as well as emergency situations that may occur during online lessons.

Step 4 describes eight most popular communication tools/platforms: Adobe Connect; Blackboard Learn / Blackboard Collaborate; Google Meet; Jitsi Meet; Moodle with Big Blue Button; MS Teams; Skype; Zoom.

In step 5 the visitors will be able to find detailed steps on how to use programmes suitable for foreign language teaching.

On the platform there is also Innovative Tool Browser to find the best suitable programmes that will enrich language teaching online.
