Czech RepubliC

II Transnational meeting in Chrudim, Chech Republic on 8.-9. April, 2019

The second meeting took place in Chrudim, Czech Republic. Before the initial meeting on April 8, all project members were taken outside to get acquainted with each other before sitting down to discuss important matters.

First, members of the Czech Republic introduced the results of the conducted questionnaire and research. Partners agreed on the content of methodology and the Czech Republic promised to finish the writing part in cooperation with other countries. Partners also found out innovation for each institution and agreed on the fact that without a learner there is no teacher, which means that besides focusing on the teacher we should also keep in mind the needs of the students.

Quite a few innovations were mentioned:

  • synchronous learning for public speaking lessons
  • interactive lesson
  • online lessons without tutors
  • speaking lessons via mobile phone
  • a sharing platform for teachers
  • recording an introduction to the lesson
  • e-learning platform usage

It was pointed out that for a good e-lesson flexible teachers and instructors with critical thinking to filter the right tools are needed.

Delicious lunch was offered at the little guesthouse U Lávky, traditional Czech foods were offered. The day was nicely organized, besides hard work the hosts had thought about the partner's health and introduced Zebra language school located a short walking distance away from the meeting spot. The weather was warm and after a long day of thinking the partners walked to a nice dinner spot in the centre of Chrudim with a stunning view on the town square.

On April 9, partners agreed on contributing to more research on topics until the end of April and conduct methodology review. Secondly, agreement on technological terms was made. The Czech Republic partners handed the tasks over to Latvia for IO2 activities.

Lunch was organised at U Lávky café and the partners had a taste of Czech traditional food, such as bread dumplings. After lunch budget issues were discussed and the partners were taken on a small tour of the town. Partners were left with positive emotions. In conclusion, all partners found innovation into their work and had a warm and welcoming experience of the Czech hospitality. We agreed on meeting in Latvia in November.
