Excelling will look like: Teachers collaborate weekly using Georgia Standards of Excellence to identify learning targets, plan interdisciplinary units, and day-to-day instruction that use process-based thinking. Evidence of reflection on previous instructional practices and review of student work is evident. Business and community partners are frequently invited to assist in collaborating and developing project-based learning activities.
On 5/27/2025, all TES teachers participated in a school-wide professional learning session focused on PBL. Following the training, teachers were provided dedicated planning time to design integrated, high-quality PBL units for the upcoming school year. Grade-level teams collaborated not only with one another, but also with special area teachers and other staff members across the building. This collaboration sparked new ideas, strengthened partnerships, and supported the integration of standards across disciplines.
