What is it?

This assignment is for me to find examples of an image, audio, animation, and video and then describe how and where I found it. This includes the licensing that allows me to use it, and who authorizes it.

Satellites Used For Image Of The Changing Earth

For this image I searched "planet image" on Creative Commons. I downloaded the image from an article - European Space Agency announces new Open Access Policy for Images and Data, then uploaded to my website.

My Image is under CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO license. This means that I can share (copy and redistribute) and adapt (remix and build upon) the image. As long as I understand the terms of attribution (appropriate credit) and ShareAlike (using same licensing when building on).

We Are All Together

For this clickable audio link We Are All Together , I downloaded a Spotify song called "We are All Together" by tribeofnoise. It's long and is a mix of several songs.

This is a 3-D animation that I used from Sketchfab that is a visualization of wind and precipitation in September of 2019. Licensed by CC BY 4.0 DEED meaning I can share and adapt as long as I understand attribution. There are no other restrictions.

Lessons Learned

While completing this assignment I have learned to be much more attentive to the rights of using digital media. I have also been able to take more consideration in what I am allowed to do with the digital media after finding the licensing.
