Yimin temple
Lord Yimin
During the Qing Dynasty, a group of people from the mainland came to Taiwan to reclaim the wasteland, who, in order to resist the oppression, spontaneously organized the rebel army to help counter- insurgency and show the spirit of protecting their homeland. However, many of them were tragically killed in the war, and the Temple was built in memory of the heroes who died in the event. These heroes were later assembled into an old man, whose name is called "Lord Yimin".
Black flag
When the righteous people went to participate in the war, they all tied black cloth in their hands. And later, people made black cloth as a flag, called black flag. In fact, its function and the general temple flag is the same.
The black flag can be taken out of the temple, brought home to worship. During the Yimin festival, people can bring it back to the temple to participate in the event.
