Frostings

Unless otherwise requested, all Taos Cakes are frosted with a meringue based icing.   Ever feel like you've just eaten a mouthful of gritty sweetness?  A meringue-based frosting will never leave you with an overly sweet gritty greasy feeling in your mouth.  You're welcome.    

Frostings can be custom made flavors as well as white and dark chocolate ganache and fondant. 

About Gluten Free cakes: 

The Taos Cakes kitchen is state certified but it is NOT a gluten free kitchen.  The recipes for gluten free are absolutely free of anything with gluten in them.  However, the mixers, bowls, spoons and other tools are not separate for gluten free baking.  For this reason Taos Cakes must decline orders for those with celiac disease.  However, if you are desiring to limit your gluten due to personal preference, then the gluten free cakes may be fine for you.
