How many servings do I need? 

I will guide you upon initial inquiry as to how many servings would be ideal for your guest count and budget.  Generally you will need as many servings as you have anticipated guests, plus one or two.  It also will depend on how large you will cut each piece and if you want leftovers.   Taos Cakes serving sizes are based on the "party" serving which is larger, than the "wedding" serving.  This goes for wedding cakes as well, because at Taos Cakes we believe you oughta have a decent size piece of cake.  Am I right?  

You can order a smaller cake if you are having other treats at your celebration. 

If I order extra, will it keep? 

Taos Cakes are delivered to you very fresh and will last at room temperature for 3 days.  Under refrigeration they will up to 7 days but should be brought to room temperature before enjoying again.  You can also wrap your cake with Saran wrap, place in a ziploc bag and freeze up to one year.  

Can I order a cake with a Disney, Marvel or other popular image? 

Taos Cakes respects the copyright of these and other characters and will not reproduce their images.  However, it is perfectly fine for the customer to buy figures through any vendor (Amazon, Walmart, etc) and place them (or have Taos Cakes place them) on the cake.  For example it is acceptable to buy Paw Patrol finger puppets and place them on the cake, AND the added plus is that the birthday boy or girl gets to keep the figures.   Please discuss this with us upon ordering.  

Are fresh flowers safe on a cake?

Taos Cakes uses fresh flowers on cakes and we take great care to prepare them to be food safe.  Each flower is carefully wrapped in floral tape to seal in any liquids.  It is then placed into the cake using a bubble straw or a cardboard disk to give a second layer of separation between the flower and the cake.  

Along those lines, when you order a cake with fresh flowers from this website (such as High in July), your cake may well have a slightly different look because flowers are individual and never exactly the same.  Also, seasonal substitutions might be needed.  We will always discuss this with you.  

I found a cake on Pinterest, can you make it? 

We love inspiration pictures!  Almost any cake dream can come true at Taos Cakes but we do not copy other bakers cakes.  We can make one very similar to the pictures you provide  (and better!) with the unique signature style of a Taos Cake.  Along those lines, when you order a cake with fresh flowers from this website (such as High in July), your cake may well have a slightly different look because flowers are individual and never exactly the same.  Also, seasonal substitutions might be needed.  We will always discuss this with you.  

How far in advance should I order?

Weddings are booked up to a year in advance.  For celebration cakes 2 -4 weeks is preferable.  In some cases cakes can be completed in less than 2 weeks so please inquire.  Macarons are generally (but not always) available In 1-2 days.  

Do you deliver and what is the cost?

Yes we deliver and prices vary according to location.  Delivery is free in the Arroyo Seco area.  Deliveries to other locations in the enchanted circle, Santa Fe and Albuquerque are available and will be calculated in the order.  If your cake is one tier, or it is cupcakes or macarons (tiered cakes are not eligible for pick up), and you would like to pick up your cake, the pick up location is in Arroyo Seco, at the Community Center parking lot.  

What payment methods do you accept?

Venmo, PayPal, Zelle and for a 4% convenience fee, Credit Card.  QR codes are listed for convenient payment,  just use your camera phone or scanning app to access payment options.
