NRS 388.132 6 (e): By declaring this mandate that the schools in this State provide a safe and respectful learning environment, the Legislature is not advocating or requiring the acceptance of differing beliefs in a manner that would inhibit the freedom of expression, but is requiring that pupils be free from physical, emotional or mental abuse while at school and that pupils be provided with an environment that allows them to learn.

This letter is to let the whole board know we, as a whole:

Support:

  • The freedom of expression is that conservative students should be able to express support for their parent(s) in law enforcement including ice officers, police officers, border patrol, and military.

  • Upholding the values of the Constitution that does have a hierarchy of God, We the People, Government.

  • That librarians are picking from the ALA approved list then it is a reasonable request that if a parent does challenge the sexually explicit material of a book the librarian has picked out then that librarian should not be on the challenge committee. It is counterproductive and does not allow for the parent/guardian to be represented fairly in the process of regulation 6150, therefore should be repealed.

  • Biblically aligned library books in our public schools

  • Biblically aligned State Academic Standards in Curriculum

  • Opt-out options for parents: Objectionable Materials, Mental Health Surveys, & Immunizations

  • Automatically opt-out students from sex education lessons ES-HS (must have parent permission)

  • -Conservative students who do not want to participate in the hatred toward ice agents or any other content that infringes upon their conservative, religious, and/or family values.

  • As educators, they can promote students’ voices to be heard in a productive manner like:
-speak at one of your trustee community events
    -speak at a neighborhood townhall
-or here at one of the school board meetings
    - Students can write out their concerns and collect signatures to be presented to this board.

Implementation of:

  • Regulation 6113 Only American Flags in the classrooms.

  • NRS 388.075 to have a moment of silence after the Pledge of Allegiance.

  • Lesson plans to understand the Pledge of Allegiance.

  • Kennedy VS. Bremerton 2022 no more lemon test so the displaying of the  the 10 commandments, the Constitution, and the Declaration of Independence in public schools is constitutional.

  • Nevada Christmas Standard (traditions/cultural practices in the U.S.).

  •  Biblical based character classes taught during school hours (not a club).

  • Constitutionally Protected Prayer in public schools (students & employees).

  • Constitutional to pass out religious literature (students) in public schools.

  • Constitutional for public school teacher to  teach about religion and promote religious liberty and respect for the religious views:

  • philosophical questions concerning religion

  • the history of religion

  • comparative religion

  • the role of religion in the history of the United States

  • the study of religious influences on philosophy, art, music, literature, and social studies

  • Public schools can perform music inspired by or based on religious themes or texts as part of school-sponsored activities and events

  • 25-26 Celebrating America 250

  • 25-26 implementation of the Civics Exam that includes Civil Discourse

Do Not Support:

  • Progressive Social Justice Educators who indoctrinate students with their personal Socialist and Marxist agenda.

  • The new code of conduct if it makes it impossible for students to be conservative.

  • Silencing conservatives voices on the school board or any other staff member, licensed or not.

  • Conservative student views being labeled as “perceived inappropriate behaviors.”

  • Conservative student views being labeled as "unconscious biased or deficit-based thinking.”

  • Restorative Justice Practices:

  • Where offenders are provided with help to change their lives, but victims are not provided help to deal with their trauma, victims feel betrayed by the offender orientation of restorative justice. Restorative justice may also promote unrealistic or unreasonable goals.

  • Victims might feel pressured to participate for the benefit of the offender’s rehabilitation, which can be an unreasonable burden or feel like they are being used. Article: https://www.uscourts.gov/sites/default/files/68_1_6_0.pdf

  • Trustee Governance Policy 5139 which is redundant and just encompasses what policy 5137 doesn’t cover and is misleading on the individual rights of the trustees. Equity and Inclusion has been addressed on the Federal level and in the Supreme court to include equity and inclusion of religious rights which is not included in this governance policy.
