How Interim Committees Work
Ever wonder how so many bills seem to be purged into the legislation session so fast it is hard to keep up?
-This is because there are Nevada Legislature: Interim Committees.
-The elected assembly and senate combine to make-up these committees.
-The committees continue to battle it out in preparation of bills that will be introduced in the 2027 legislation session. Here are a few links so you can see how it functions.

-make sure you are in the 2025-2026 year
-you can either click on committees then committee list and see all of them and choose based on the topic you are interested in, so for example: Education, Health & Human Services, or Operations & Elections, etc….(the committee members have not been chosen yet)
-Or, click on meetings, choose the Month (June 2025) and the list of meetings will come up. You can watch them and even make public comments in person or on phone just as we all did during the legislative session.
***Just remember that campaigns will begin fall of 2025 and run through 2026 so we have the opportunity to vote in conservative candidates to the senate and assembly 2027 legislation session. The battle continues…..More information to come…..
