ALS & Lyme Disease

The ALS/Lyme Connection Has Been Documented In the Scientific Literature For Almost 30 Years.

It was documented by one of the IDSA guideline authors (JJ Halperin). Today theses same IDSA authors call the serious ALS/motor neuron disease symptoms- "post treatment Lyme disease syndrome" and offer no treatment.

QUOTE [1990]- "Of 19 unselected patients with the diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) living in Suffolk County, New York (an area of high Lyme disease prevalence), 9 had serologic evidence of exposure to Borrelia burgdorferi; 4 of 38 matched controls were seropositive."
