Dr. Phil. Sybille Bauer-Zierfuß M.A.
(she/her & they/them) is a filmmaker, artist & philosopher working within the realm of media studies, critical autism studies, disability studies, and feminist epistemology. Their doctoral research examined how portrayals of autism - from "Autism‑TikTok" to television - shape intersectional oppression.

Their artistic work draws on a complex family history shaped by exile, working‑class survival, and coerced labour. Using intimate materials such as their late father’s illness diary, family recordings, and religious texts, they explore (queer) identity, autism, structural and sexualised violence, (auto)biography, death, illness, and grief.
