Flight and combat procedures will typically only be done by groups, squadrons or maybe just friends in game. That being said, Each will have their own rules, regulations and tactics. The purpose of flight and combat procedures is meant to instill discipline and teamwork, It also allows multiple pilots to gain a sense of what each others skill level is, how and when they will react, etc. which allows the team to function more efficiently and effectively.
