Margo Koskelainen Victorian  Umpire of the Year Award

The Margo Koskelainen Umpire of the Year Award was implemented in 2007 by Softball Victoria recognising the State's best umpire and honouring the contribution of Victorian Margo Koskelainen OAM.

The Victoria Umpire of the Year must be a current umpire within the season the award is presented in, and consistently demonstrates a high level of officiating skill.  The recipient must also show a commitment to the Victorian and/or National Umpiring Program (eg: as an examiner, presenter, mentor, program developer, trainer or other VUC official).  The recipient must present a positive image of umpiring and the role of the umpire and must demonstrate a firm commitment to softball and umpiring.
