Concept Name: "Crimson Snow"
"The snow is white but our march stays red!"
-Nully
Nikolay "Nully" Dmitrievich Okhotnik, also known as Nully, is Suyukaz's fourth Art OC in priority and fourth to be created. He represents Suyukaz's love for military technology and history, as he is rarely depicted outside of war environment. He also represents Suyukaz's love for surrealism in world building, especially with Nully's extra-unusual species.
Nully's primary concept is a Russian horned feline soldier fighting in snowy environment, and likes thinking of almost impossible things (probably for nothing). Though a soldier fighting harsh battles, Nully stands against human rights violations and war crimes.

Nully is a young human man, later artificially growing cat ears and goat horns. He has dark brown hair and bright skin, as well as yellow eyes. He is slightly shorter than Spook, similar in height to Yuki. Despite being shorter, he seemed to have a more solid build, as he is a more active and powerful soldier compared to Spook. His right eye is damaged and somehow painfully sensitive to light, so he wears a transparent eyepatch to stabilize his vision.
Nully's default wear consists of a maroon shirt or uniform and a grey scarf. He also wears black pants and black boots. He wears a (varying type of) cap seemingly modified to fit his cat ears and horns. The cap is similar to Spook's, having a dark main and a light-colored bill. His eyepatch is made out of almost opaque glass or plastic, stabilizing his vision. In the original version of his outfit, Nully wears his eyepatch on his left side.
Nully's combat attire is strikingly similar to his default outfit. He wears an altered WW2 Soviet winter uniform. His uniform's color (non-historically) remains maroon and he retains his grey scarf, albeit tucked into the uniform.
Nully is an active character who enjoys doing things according to plan, though sometimes he may drift away into his own ideas. Though trained with strict military discipline, he can have a very friendly and passive attitude. He can be reserved at times, such as when in battle, where his emotions are hardly shown or in work, where he hardly gets stressed, instead likes to think deeply about solutions to his problems without getting annoyed by it. Nully is very approachable with others despite his hard-to-smile- face. When asked to smile, he will stretch or press his cheeks. He often tries to not take arguments too seriously, though his reserved appearance can cause misunderstanding. Nully also has a notable habit of thinking of random ideas, many of which are impossible or do not make sense.
When it comes to duty, Nully focuses on the objectives of the task at hand, but not always paying attention to the right way to do it, resulting him in making unexpected moves that may have unwanted side effects, as long as he believes the objectives can be completed. This trait caused Lily to restrict him from doing any sort of work on her ship, except for cooking, should he ever get on board, though other characters don't seem to impose the same restriction, causing him to do some work in an unintended way, though the results remain satisfactory. In wartime, he does not clean his equipment much and focuses on its usability, often repairing it at times. When he has many weapons in his arsenal at once, he may ditch a weapon with run-out ammo if deemed necessary, to reduce unnecessary weight limiting his movement. Nully is very thoughtful of human rights and justice when fighting in war, and strictly follows his moral code, sometimes over the laws of his military should the latter have inhumane instances. He vows to kill only enemy soldiers, and never any civilians, and to help the wounded and needy.
Nully has a noticeable liking for milk and bread, and thus enjoys British breakfast. Nully also has a comedic complex for vodka, often seeming to bring it up anywhere, though it is never shown if he actually drinks it. Aside of that he shows no other special interest for food. Nully spends his free time reading stories and literature or making random miniatures of objects such as military equipment or building structures out of any material available. He also likes reading about laws and morality to keep his humanity alive.
Nully is born to unidentified British and Japanese parents, but was raised by and lives with an unspecified family in Russia. In a young age, he was one of the voluntary subjects for a Russian science program to create humans with animal-like attributes, and Nully was chosen as the young-category subject for the cat animal. Due to an error in the experiment, all of the subjects not only have some animal sense and abilities, but they also grow physical animal features, namely animal ears and sometimes a tail. Due to another specific error in Nully's experiment, he also has goat attributes and grows goat horns aside of cat ears.
Nully would later join the military and fight a winter war, varying depending on era.
Capable strength
Possibly thanks to his biological alterations, Nully is notably strong, and can hold out harsh situations for a very long time, even in lack of food and water. He can also fight his way through dangerous weather.
Tactical Intelligence
Nully is good on planning tactics to achieve mission objectives, though this sometimes involves abandoning original mission plans of the higher command. For example, he may stray away from formation or fire other than at the specified time, as long as he sees fit and achievable.
Firearms
Nully's top ability in single-person combat comes from his use of modern military weapons, especially small arms, as long as he wears his limited visibility eyepatch. Nully is best at using machine guns and is usually depicted with one in various eras. However, he isn't much good with longer ranges due to his vision, and is almost a mediocre sniper.
In the 21st century lore, Nully is shown carrying an AK-74 submachine gun, as firstly shown during the Invasion of Ukraine.
Vehicle command
Nully is also great in commanding vehicles, especially tanks. In WW2 lore, he is often depicted using a KV-2 heavy tank. He may also command landing boats, large aircraft and small warships, as long as he know how such machines function.
Spook, Yuki and Lily
Nully's siblings. Other siblings often see Nully with a more prominent soldier background than them, and understands that Nully fights in the harshest environment in war, on the ground as an infantryman (compared to his vehicle-equipped siblings). In wartime, Nully often communicates with his siblings, such as sending generalized mission reports or having talks on the phone when possible. As enemies in war, Nully puts up a strong fight in any encounter, though prefers to not get them killed.
Nully shows extra care for Spook, who otherwise ignores it for most of the time. Spook spends time drinking tea together with Nully, and displays annoyance over his vodka whenever it shows up.
Nully gets along well with his older sister Yuki, though not very close. Yuki is amazed by Nully's powerful combat capability, often thinking that he is more capable than her. In reality, Yuki's combat style is deadlier by many metrics. Despite her work-oriented strictness, Yuki somehow doesn't mind for Nully's vodka jokes.
Nully and Lily loves talking to each other about various things of similar interest, sometimes until late night. Both rarely have serious arguments with each other.
Fuleere and Noell
Nully's cousins. Nully often works together with Fuleere in political issues, as Nully trusts him in assassinations or leading revolutions. Nully has friendly interaction with Noell when it comes to teamwork, however this appears to be only because good relationship is needed in cooperation. Otherwise, in general Nully does not go along well with Noell.
"Okhotnik" in Nully's nickname means hunter in Russian. Similarly, "Nikolay" is the Russian name for Nicholas.
* Nully's middle patronymic name, Dmitrievich, is misleading and is not directly taken from his father, whose name and nationality remains mysterious. It was most likely the name of the father in Nully's adoptive family, though it is not revealed if his name was Dmitry.
"Nully" is taken from the English word "null". Null in Russian is "nulevoy", meaning the nickname origin made sense in both languages.
Nully's original character name is Nulld, especially before his nationality is specified to Russian.
His animal features (cat ears and goat horns) are a reference to a malay idiom, "Kucing bertanduk" (horned cat) which means something considered impossible.
Nully's generally unwell relationship with Noell may be due to the history of their respective nationalities.
