The General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engine multirole fighter aircraft developed by General Dynamics, and later produced by Lockheed Martin. Originally designed to be a lightweight day fighter, the F-16 later evolved into a successful, versatile multirole fighter aircraft, capable in air superiority and attack missions.

The F-16 is a single-engine fighter with a blended wing body design. Its engine consists of a single turbofan engine. The aircraft has cropped delta wings, conventional empennage with all-moving stabilator tailplanes, and a pair of ventral fins beneath the fuselage. The wings have leading edge to generate vortex lift and thus achieve higher angles of attack. Split-flap speed brakes are located at the end of the aircraft's wing-body fairing. The aircraft is capable of in-flight refueling, with its fueling receptacle located behind the plane's frameless bubble canopy.
The aircraft is designed to have negative stability, thus becoming highly maneuverable, by having no need to overcome inherent stability usually faced by positive stability aircraft. Eventually the aircraft will gain stability at supersonic speeds due to aerodynamic changes.
The F-16 has a quadraplex fly-by-wire system, and was the first production aircraft to have digital FBW systems, which previous production aircraft have analogue systems. The F-16 is heavily reliant on its electrical systems instead of traditional mechanically linked controls. The quadraplex system permits fault tolerance, as when one channel goes down the FBW becomes a triplex system.
The F-16 is one of Suyukaz's most favorite jet fighter aircraft, along with the F-2 derivative.
* The F-2a is often shown being flown by Yuki, while the F-16C is flown by Spook although the aircraft never served the German Air Force.
