The Parent & Educator book club will read and discuss titles relevant to education, homeschooling, alternative schools, and similar topics. We will read one book each semester (Aug-Dec and Jan-May). We hope that group members will have completed the month's readings, but welcome observers as well.
Fall 2025:
TBD
Between Two Worlds Book Club unites ages and eras to enter a deeper understanding of humanity's past, present, and future. Teens and adults join together as equals to learn about a moment in our shared past and discuss how those events shape our world and our selves.
Fall 2025:
Never Again: Witnessing, Healing, and Remembering the Holocaust through The Works of Elie Wiesel
Charlotte Mason centered history as the pivot of the educational curriculum and advised that novels, poetry, art, and architecture be included equally with history books, that students might be immersed in the historical time period, feeling what it was like to live in that era. The Time Traveler's History Adventure Club is based upon this philosophy for all ages. Homeschool families, traditional educators, and anyone interested in visiting other times is welcome to join our adventures. We follow a 4-year history cycle, traveling to different time periods together (all of our programs follow the same coordinated history cycle). At the end of each month, we gather to discuss the art, music, novels, poetry, and more that have taught and touched us.
